SATURDAY 26th November: Supervising new shed roof

Cato: It was VERY exciting.  We had to get up early, cos Mr Roof was due before breakfast!  And Mum and me went out to do a last poo pick up.  Good thing we did too, cos Mr Roof and his friend Mr Hat came early.  And they opened the back gate.  And we got to meet them.  But then we had to come inside and not get in the way.  Not that we would have.  Mr Hat said he wanted to take me home with him.  And Mr Roof laughed at Tara's topknot.  I liked them both. For some reason the cat flap s

FRIDAY 25th November: Spa Day

Cato: We had to get up early and go out with Dad, to see AuntieLesleyGroomer. She is very nice, and she gives us nice treats.  But she also gives us b**hs, and chops off all our hair.  And Mum isn't there. She has to do Tara first, cos otherwise Tara just whines, so I have to watch it all happening to her, and know that it is going to happen to me too... But then Mum and Dad picked us up and gave us breakfast, and put our jumpers on - cos it was really cold now I am bald.  An

THURSDAY 24th November: Street walk

Cato: It was a street walk today.  And then the field.  Tara was pulling on the lead, and Mum made her slow down and walk beside her and stop being so silly.  Mum says we haven't been getting enough on-street-practice wotever that is.  so we will have more of it. We met a nice lady and her Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who was lovely and gentle and sniffy.  But we couldn't do a proper walk, with sniffs up people's drives and in their gardens.  It was a bit disappointing really.

WEDNESDAY 23rd November: Soggy lake

Cato:   It was wetwetwet on Monday and Tuesday, so we didn't walk.  And by Wednesday, both Mum and me were really hoping we could get Tara's Bounce out of the house.  And we could!  it was still dark and grey and soggy, but we went to the big lake. This is right at the start.  Can you see the rain-puddle on the path?  Tara wouldn't walk through it!  ha! We only went round the lake once today.  and Mum said we had to stay on the path cos of the mud But it was still fun. A

SUNDAY 20th November: All Better!

Cato:   Mum doesn't want me to tell you this.  She says it is too early to tell you. but I can't help it!  It is SUCH good news I want to tell you all about it! You know I have had icky ears?  Ever since Mr Vet gave me antiBO stuff when he should have given me antiHisty things?  And then my ears got yeasty sore.  And then other Mr Vet gave me ear stuff, but my ears were still a bit yeasty.   For ages.  And Mum had to clean them every week.  Yuck!  It was cold and slimey.  And smelly.

Foxy Foliage Supplemental

We went out at around 12.30 and finished by nearly 2pm, but throughout, the low sun was stunning.  The light through the trees and the light on the trees was incredible.  Not a cloud in the sky, and I even found some flowers!  lol This is one of those really blowsy cherry trees Sometimes the colours seem unreal, but I can assure you, I haven't touched these photos up at all (although I have cropped a couple). The next photo is a close up of the m

SATURDAY 19th November: bounce Bounce BOUNCE!!!

Cato: Ooooh Aunties, it was soooo nice to be able to go out and RUN and BOUNCE!  And the sun was out!  And we didn't need coats!  And it wasn't RAINING! That was first sniff.  Always VERY important, first sniffing, isn't it?  Sets you up for the rest of the walk. Mum was going doolally about 'the sun!' and 'the light!' and stuff, but we said she would have to save that for her own bloggy thing, cos there wasn't room in OUR blog today for all her boring plant stuff.  So she is

Me, My Kids and Sometimes Crafting

Ok, my first attempt at blogging! Hope it appears like others on here! It seems as if my babies are cold after I have cut off their long hair. And I'm such a thoughtless mama, made them wear that hot hair all summer.  We have had a weak cold front here in North Texas, feeble really compared to what Crystal showed.  But its cold when you arnt used to it. Anyway, I now feel that the kids need something on, so have been in a crafting mood for the past week.  Here is a pic of a dress for S

WED/THUR 16th/17th Nov: :( no walks :(

Cato: Yesterday Mum had to work through her walk-time  so we couldn't show her all the new sniffs.  And then Mum and Dad went out for dinner!  And didn't take us with them!  Even though they went to the Steak Place where we had Megasaurus Steak last time!    We had to be shut in the front room with our chews, knowing they were Steaking!  But then when they came back, they had brought home some of the Megasaurus that they had hunted, and it was all OK.   Then today, we all set out

TUESDAY 15th November: slippy leaves and sog

Cato: Tara is sulking cos we didn't go back to the muddy bits today.  So I shall blog it all. We went to the field at the end of the road first. LOTS of interesting sniffs.  We walked all the way round.  Down the steps and round.  There was a Shar Pei walking when we arrived, but her Dad kept her away from us, cos she is terrified of 'little dogs'.  Isn't that weird.  Anyway, I'm not little, am I Aunties?  I am the perfeck size. This is why Tara is huffing.  Not enough m

MUD!!! Aunties!!! It has arrived.  Look! This is near where we started.  The path is all dry and hard still. but when I saw this puddle, it started to look like the long wait woz over... and then we did this long straight bit, and Mum walked on the grass, and we walked on the almost-mud.   Cos, you know, it might be the best we could find... and Cato wanted to go that way.  And I wanted to go this way, and Mum did wot I wanted for maybe the first time

Although it woz a bit chilly and damp and muddy, and I did bounce on Cato a bit.  Which woz great fun, but may have made my knickers a bit wet. But then, HE won't mind soggy knickers... And then... Look! Across the romantic forest floor... the paw of my dreamz!!!! William!!!!!! (and I kn

FRIDAY 11th November: Lovely walk

Cato: It woz my first proper walk since my tummy, and my first proper walk since having proper food.  Fish isn't food, is it Aunties?  Fish is... is... meh! So lots of sniffs and sun and sand and stuff.  And I wore my jumper cos Mum said it was chilly, but I would have been OK cos when the sun came out it was nice. This is First Sniff: Mum says the light was 'magical' cos the air was totally still, no wind, and there was hazy sun.   Things are still flowering

But then we had to go in the front room with our chews, and we were left all alone. but we were asleep when she came home, cos we didn't hear the gate.   Tara:  i heard!  I did!  I wozn't asleep!  I just knew it woz Mum so I didn't bark!   Mum:    Cato:  so then we went out after Mum finished work.  Dad put my jumper on, an

MONDAY 7th November: Sniffy! Yay!!!

Cato: Mum said no walk yesterday cos of the coldwetwindiness, but today we went to the Big Lake.  I had to wear my English Gentleman Jumper, cos of the cold, and we only went round the lake on the path.  Boring or what?  But Mum said that would be enough for me, and I was very tired at the end.  I AM feeling much better though.  But I am VERY bored of fish. This is first sniff. It has been very weird while I was ill.  I haven't been able to go sniffing.  That is terrible.  M

SATURDAY 5th November: Brunch

Cato: Mum and Dad and us went to the nice Sausage Place for something called Brunch.  This is when Mums and Dads don't get up in time for breakfast, and then they can't be bothered to cook. This is inside the nice warm place, waiting for our sausages.  Mum had a very small bit of my Special GF sausage in her pocket, and we had that when we got outside. That is Dad behind the pillar.  He woz bringing Mum her tea.  It smelled of lemon and ginger.  Very stinky. We were the

And then he and Mum went out!  Without me!  So I took Dad out for a walk, but it wasn't a proper walk cos Mum and Cato didn't come.  Dad says i had my tail all droopy the whole time, but i didn't think about it, cos I woz too bu
