Happy Valentine's Day!

Shopping For Bargains, One Of My Fav Things Lol.

Well yesterday after I helped someone figure out their brand new lap top (loading different programs and stuff) I was just down the road from the mall so I decided to stop on in to see what kind of "Sales" were actually going on. I was amazed to see that JC Penney had multiple rounders full of clothing marked down to $4.77 an item , I had a good time going through them. Hooray! No More Stitches!

Well finally it came, no more stitches! I went yesterday morning to have them removed and I'll tell you it couldn't have come quick enough. On Wednesday when I was out and about it seemed my bandage was slipping a bit. I didn't think much of it until I was in the middle of things on Thursday. I realized that I was feeling some discomfort but decided to wait since I'd be going in Friday morning. I was correct and it has really irritated my suture line but all will be fine, just a little unc

Weekend #2 done!

All I can say is I'm so exhausted but thrilled at the same time. I can not believe how fast this is going by, just finished another 3 performances, only 2 more left coming up this Friday and Saturday. I've updated my last entry with pictures, you can see it Here if you've missed it . Saturday night will be our last performance and I have decided to host the cast/wrap party which will take place after we clean up the popcorn after the show. Here We Go Again!

Well Saturday evening I attended an awards banquet hosted by our local Community Theater Group. They presented me with an award similar to a congeniality award, thought it was so sweet of them . In addition I got to see several of the cast members from the play which was great. I really missed them and have decided that whoever gets their copy of the play first starts a telephone chain to get together to watch it as a group at my place, the idea was well received. Cinderella Waltz Audition

So last night was the audition for the next play I am interested in and I have to be there at 7pm, no problem. I look up on the map where I have to go and have a pretty good idea. It's the town's community center, how hard is that to find . I know that it will take me about 25 mins or so to get there so I leave here at 6:20 figuring it'll give me ample time to get there and possibly read over some of the script before I have to audition. Let's Try A New Exercise Class

Okay, I've been getting a little bored at the gym lately. Don't get me wrong as I love working out but now that it's summer I like to do some outdoor activites and our weather here hasn't been the most cooperative . Last Night's Audition

Well despite the sub-freezing temps and high winds making for whiteout conditions, I did go to the audition which continues tonight and next Monday as well. I was quickly reminded of how much fun this is and I'm so looking forward to being assigned a part. There are 22 parts for this play and many have very minimal lines but very involved physically on stage. I don't care what part I get, I do know I'll be in it though. Holder Posey Finale!

This was yet another awesome experience that I will never forget. I loved every part of it and would recommend community theater to anyone who ever thought of possibly getting involved in theater to try it. 3 days and counting.....

Well here it is 12:30 AM and since I can't sleep, just got home a short bit ago, thought I'd write a quick update. The play is coming together nicely. I do have my lines down but still get a little confused if I'm tired, such as tonight. I know I'll have it down by Friday for sure, Can't believe that in 71 hours, the first of 9 performances will be over. I'm really getting excited now which is great, I live on pure adrenaline when show time comes, which is probably why I crash so hard aft

Well A Taste Of Fall Is In The Air!

Well Country Fair Days are behind me again for another year, thank goodness as it is always a fun but exhausting event. Attendance was down from previous years but some of that might have been attributed to the weather. Well It's Happened Again!

I was told not to worry about it for now as the chances of it happening so soon were nill but pfft, it happened! That's what I get for listening to a man! Play Update

Well I went in for another blocking rehearsal Monday night, I am having so much fun with this. It is going to be extremely differcult to keep a straight face during this play . I don't have to worry about much more now till early April as thats when the actual rehearsals will begin so I won't have much more to add for a couple of weeks, which is good as I won't have to worry about missing much after my surgery.

Another Play Update

Well it's been a week of full rehearsals and we've been officially off book all week, meaning no reading the lines from the script . I am amazed how well everything is going, things are getting cleaned up and timing is going great. This is really a lot of fun and I'm glad I made up my mind to do this, it's a great group to work with. Nick, the director has now given us girls 4 or 5 songs to learn to sing and play , not gonna happen! I've got one almost down, if I can master a second, well

March 20th Update

Well last night we started to block the scenes. Blocking is where you are located on stage as different lines are performed. Once a scene is blocked, it stays the same throughout and doesn't get changed so it takes a few trial and errors to get it blocked properly. Tonight I can skip rehearsal as I'm not in any of the scenes being blocked but tomorrow and Thursday evening is a different story. My understanding is we'll start getting our songs to learn on Thursday, wonder how many they'll be?

Play Update :-)

Well rehearsals have started this week and it's been fun. I will be playing a saloon girl again and yes, there will be singing involved again . I don't mind really, had a blast last year and am so looking forward to it. There's so much on stage antics that I'll get to do, as the director mentioned "you girls had your own show going on in the background" lol! Life Update 9/29/06

Well to say I'm juggling too many things at this time may be an understatement, let's see where I'll begin My youth group meetings have started this month, what can I say but I love these kids. I never realized how much of an influence I am on them till a couple of weeks ago. A former student contacted me about being a reference for a job that he was applying for. Wine Tour

Well yesterday I went on my first wine tour with a group of friends. We were 18 women with a 40 year span between youngest/oldest, yet we all still had many things in common amoung us. We rented a limo/bus to take us around so we didn't have to worry about driving/parking and could really enjoy ourselves. Everyone brought a dish to pass and we feasted in between our tastings. Each winery had a different way of directing their tastings. Almost all had a fee between $1 and $3 for the tastings

What A 24 Hours It Has Been!

Christmas In Retail

Well for those of you who know me, know that I work in a women's clothing store at the mall. I decided to go back into the world of retail this year after a 5 year hiatus and have enjoyed it quite a bit.
