Showtime!

I know I hadn't updated for a bit but the play officially opens tonight, with last night being a final dress rehearsal in front of an audience All went well and I'm really looking forward to tonight. I did manage a few pictures, hoping to get some more tonight as everyone was so tired yesterday, myself included. The pictures I have are from set build last Sunday as well as myself with our director and other characters from the show.

Another General Life Update..........

Well the play rehearsals are going well with the exception of the late evenings wearing a little thin on me. It can make for some very long days to say the least. I do have a meeting this Sunday evening which will be important. The store I work at will be closing on May 3rd for at least 2 months, we have to vacate by the 7th and we'll be reopening in a brand new store, early to mid July. I now have to decide what I want to do. I will get all the details come Sunday evening but essentially i

Just An Ordinary Day.......

or so it started out so. I went to work just like always and when I arrived, my manager arrived at the same time. We went to open the gate to go into the store (work at the mall) and this obnoxious odor started to come out. We looked at eachother and didn't know quite what to say. Should I Be Flattered Or Creeped Out?

Well I can't help but to keep thinking about what happened to me the other weekend, not sure how I should feel about this. I was working at the store and this guy comes in with his girlfriend/wife, not sure. He's about 30 give or take a couple and as his gf/wife is looking at items in the store he approaches me. March 20th Update

Well last night we started to block the scenes. Blocking is where you are located on stage as different lines are performed. Once a scene is blocked, it stays the same throughout and doesn't get changed so it takes a few trial and errors to get it blocked properly. Tonight I can skip rehearsal as I'm not in any of the scenes being blocked but tomorrow and Thursday evening is a different story. My understanding is we'll start getting our songs to learn on Thursday, wonder how many they'll be?

Play Update :-)

Well rehearsals have started this week and it's been fun. I will be playing a saloon girl again and yes, there will be singing involved again . I don't mind really, had a blast last year and am so looking forward to it. There's so much on stage antics that I'll get to do, as the director mentioned "you girls had your own show going on in the background" lol! Only thing is it makes for long evenings but rehearsals will be scheduled a little different this time due to some conflicts. I have

Last Night's Audition

Well despite the sub-freezing temps and high winds making for whiteout conditions, I did go to the audition which continues tonight and next Monday as well. I was quickly reminded of how much fun this is and I'm so looking forward to being assigned a part. There are 22 parts for this play and many have very minimal lines but very involved physically on stage. I don't care what part I get, I do know I'll be in it though. Rehearsals start a week from tonight, and we have approximately 6 weeks

So A New Year Is About To Begin

For staters: Happy New Year to All Who Read My Blog! :buddies: What can I say, this past year has been a real rollercoaster for me. I have been through a few bumps, received some bruises and had some great times, had new experiences and met some new people as well. Christmas In Retail

Well for those of you who know me, know that I work in a women's clothing store at the mall. I decided to go back into the world of retail this year after a 5 year hiatus and have enjoyed it quite a bit. What A 24 Hours It Has Been!

It has been the most amazing 24 hours in that I have had the oppertunity to hear/speak to/from about 6 people that I haven't had the chance to in many months. I'm just totally in awe over it and so very thankful that everyone is great . I love my friends !

Pancake Breakfast

Well I finally did it, pulled off the breakfast fundraiser for the volunteer ambulance. We had a great turnout from both our club and the ambulance volunteers although we were a little light on the amount of patrons. We still made money and had a very good time. They really enjoyed this event and had decided that if I agreed to lead this event again next year, they would provide me a co-chair from their organization to share the work load and equally divide the responsibilities. So I need to run a few errands before I head out to my youth group meeting and as I turn out of my tract onto a semi busy road, there's my mailman standing outside his truck holding a small dog and looking rather lost. Wine Tour

Well yesterday I went on my first wine tour with a group of friends. We were 18 women with a 40 year span between youngest/oldest, yet we all still had many things in common amoung us. We rented a limo/bus to take us around so we didn't have to worry about driving/parking and could really enjoy ourselves. Everyone brought a dish to pass and we feasted in between our tastings. Each winery had a different way of directing their tastings. Almost all had a fee between $1 and $3 for the tastings

Life Update 9/29/06

Well to say I'm juggling too many things at this time may be an understatement, let's see where I'll begin My youth group meetings have started this month, what can I say but I love these kids. I never realized how much of an influence I am on them till a couple of weeks ago. A former student contacted me about being a reference for a job that he was applying for. Community Activities And Other Random Things

Just A General Update

Well I haven't blogged in a bit so I will make this a quick update. Let's Try A New Exercise Class

Okay, I've been getting a little bored at the gym lately. Cinderella Waltz Audition

So last night was the audition for the next play I am interested in and I have to be there at 7pm, no problem. I look up on the map where I have to go and have a pretty good idea. Here We Go Again!

Well Saturday evening I attended an awards banquet hosted by our local Community Theater Group. They presented me with an award similar to a congeniality award, thought it was so sweet of them . In addition I got to see several of the cast members from the play which was great. A Random Act Of Kindness

I just have to blog about this, as it has often been said that there isn't enough of kindness and people don't take the time out to help or recognize one another. Can't Help But To Feel Sad...........

I love trees, flowers, gardens, etc. My neighborhood is fairly new but established, most houses are 15 yrs old or younger and there aren't very many trees around as it had been a farm previously. My next door neighbor just cut down their one and only established tree. I just watched from my desk here 3 men take down, and destroy in 10 mins what took nature at least 40 years to grow, I can now see my neighbor's (kitty corner from me) yard which had been totally blocked previously and it's

It's Snowing again! Summer Snow That Is!

Now before you think I've lost my mind this is what I refer to as our summer snow. Every year at the beginning of summer the Cottonwood or Poplar Trees (known as both here) bloom and go into seed.
