So A New Year Is About To Begin

For staters: Happy New Year to All Who Read My Blog! :buddies: What can I say, this past year has been a real rollercoaster for me. I have been through a few bumps, received some bruises and had some great times, had new experiences and met some new people as well. Not all have been pleasant, some have been scary and others amazing experiences that I will never ever forget. I can't get into details, sorry but if you are a close friend of mine, you'll know what I'm talking about

Another General Life Update..........

Well the play rehearsals are going well with the exception of the late evenings wearing a little thin on me. It can make for some very long days to say the least. I do have a meeting this Sunday evening which will be important. The store I work at will be closing on May 3rd for at least 2 months, we have to vacate by the 7th and we'll be reopening in a brand new store, early to mid July. I now have to decide what I want to do. I will get all the details come Sunday evening but essentially i

Another Play Update..............

Well there's only 2 more shows till we're done, Friday and Saturday night. It's always bittersweet as you're looking forward to the free time and not having to hear the same lines over and over. You've heard them so many times before, like being stuck in rewind/play for 2 months. At the same time you've spent so much time with the cast, 18 members plus crew, that you've become very close, it's kind of sad to think of not being all together. We usually go out to celebrate after a show and

Planning On Visiting My Brothers

Since it's been 2 years now since I've seen them and almost 6 years since I've been home, I'm planning a long overdue trip to NYC. It'll be fun, just me and my brothers, getting into trouble just like old times. I'm thinking of going within the next 2 weeks. I'll keep you updated. :D

Another Life Update For Those Who Want To Know, Lol...

Well I guess I should update as it's been a while. Even though the Melodrama is finished, parties are still happening, we are a party group . I have a Cast party BBQ to attend Sunday late afternoon so the parties still continue. The rehearsals for the new play won't start till mid-July so that's still a little bit away. My trip to NYC to see my brothers has been put on hold as one is so busy, he won't even be around. He ended up signing a 6 week contract which will pay him quite wel

Life Update Cont'd

Well I went for the audition and found out the other night I didn't get the part. I am quite okay with it, really. I would have had a great time doing the role as it was a bank robbery/mystery comedy (yeah I know) which took place on an actual moving train. I would have had to leave on Tues evening, car pool for a 4 hour ride, stay overnight and perform 3 shows on Wed, come home and do this 2 weeks in a row. Where I would have loved the job it required rehearsing at the directors home. She

Life Update, Aug 3rd

Well the store officially reopened last week and as expected, we have been swamped with people. I really am glad to see the warm reception we're getting from the customers, especially the regulars. They're so happy when they see a familiar face cause we have so many new girls working. We have been closed for a little over two months and our customers have really missed us. The only awkward things are, since we are new, we don't have anything on sale except for our promotions and not al

Camp Open Arms

Well today was time to host Camp Open Arms . Our local Lions Club spends about $1000+, for the one day event providing a full day of food and activities. We had about 150 this year and went through 12 large pizzas, over 300 hot dogs, who knows how many cases of juice/bottled water, ice pops, etc. Only downside today was the temps which stood in the upper 60's with a very strong wind. I am so happy I had this way oversized sweater in my trunk or I would have been miserably cold. Th

Play Update

I am sorry to say the play has been postponed till mid May. There were just too many obstacles to cope with and this was decided last night between cast and director. To say that this play has been a challenge for our poor Director is putting things mildly. Poor Diane has had her hands very full. There are several characters in this play and we are really a good cast, she really chose each of us carefully and we compliment each other well. She has not been able to cast one vital ro

September Update

Sorry I have not updated in awhile. The fair that the town puts on is now behind me and I'm happy to say it's over. I was so tired after that 11 hour day, too much really. It is not a favorite event of mine and after working it a few years now, I can really say that I have learned to dislike fairs. I never attend any, I've lost interest in them. I received an e-mail about 2 weeks ago asking if I'd consider taking a small part in a play, which I agreed to do. It's going to take plac

Been a while.........

I have been so super busy that I haven't even had much on line time. There are a few new challenges happening in my life right now that I can't currently share but hoping to be able to work through it soon enough. Some are easier to deal with than others....... With all that is taking place I'm finding it extremely hard to find the holiday spirit. I look forward to meeting with people and having fun but the actual shopping and decorating is not with me this year. I think I'm just tired of
