Tara: looks like its just ME blogging tonight, cos Cato is fast asleep.  He is so worn out he has been snoring since we got home, and he didn't even want his tea!  Anyway, i am so good at blogging, i will do it all, and you will like my walk as much as me, cos it was the best ever ever ever. we had turkey mince and egg for breakfast, and then set off.  No car.  Just out of gate and off down track, going to this huge great Stoodley Pike place up the hill.  Mum has pics. it was cold

THURSDAY 25th August: Foxy with Dad

Tara: Haha!  Me and Dad went for a walk at FoxyPArk today, and Cato woz allowed to come too.   No pics cos Dad forgot the camera thing AND his phone at the same time.  But it woz still fun.  We had lots of bouncing, and it wozn't too hot, and we got a bit wet foots.  And I kept an eye out for my friend Daisy, and my hero William, but they wozn't there. We did meet lots of people though.  A Westie, two shih Tzu Lhasa crosses, a Lab and a couple of others including a Beagle.  I subm

THURSDAY 24th November: Street walk

Cato: It was a street walk today.  And then the field.  Tara was pulling on the lead, and Mum made her slow down and walk beside her and stop being so silly.  Mum says we haven't been getting enough on-street-practice wotever that is.  so we will have more of it. We met a nice lady and her Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who was lovely and gentle and sniffy.  But we couldn't do a proper walk, with sniffs up people's drives and in their gardens.  It was a bit disappointing really.

THURSDAY 24th Mar: Skipping to Dogsitter

Mum: Since this is their second vist, both Dad and I were very interested to see whether they wanted to go, or not. I start work at 7.30am usually (homeworking on computer) so Dad dragged himself up to get them there first thing.  They took wee packed breakfasts and their leads.  She still had their treats from last time. Apparently, he parked outside the house, put the leads on, and got them out of the car.  At which point they dragged him to the house, up the driveway, and sat o

THURSDAY 23rd June: No pics!

Tara: We went out to do the Referendummy Votey Thing, and we had to sit outside while first Mum then Dad went and DID IT. That woz boring. And then we went to the Stinky Coffee Place where they don't serve dog biscuits.  But there aren't any pictures cos Mum forgot her phone AND her camera!  Bad Mum!  Hahahaha! But we got a treat each for sitting quietly under the table.  And when there were no more treats I beat Cato up, until Mum was a meanie and shortened the leads. B

THURSDAY 21st July: Lovely walk after heatwave!

Cato: Ooooh it was so nice.  The last few days have been soooooooo boring.  But Dad took us to Foxy, in the shade, before it got too hot, and we could run and run and run. Dad is my hero.  He got up early to take us for a walk.  AND he got up at very early to take me down for a wee.  I love him. This is me running.  Tara says I look silly.  But not nearly as silly as she does.  Cos Dad took us out before Mum had time to brush out her bedhead and put in a Thing.  You know, a PINK t

THURSDAY 19th May: Petals and pinecones

Cato:   No Big Bed last night.   We did ask.  I asked a LOT.  But we had to go in our Dens.  Dad put us down there.  And then he put Tara back down there 3 times when she jumped back up.  I just sat and Meercatted, cos I am more polite than Tara, but Dad even resisted my Meercat requests. And then I had to have a poo event in the middle of the night.  Mum thinks it was the salmon.  I LOVE salmon.  But I don't like poo events when I have to ask Dad to carry me downstairs. But then

THURSDAY 18th Feb: Beach at half term

Tara: Whheeeeee!!!! After being boooorrrrreeeeeeeddddddd all day yesterday, we had a lovely beach walk today. See my sandy beard? and the deep and mysterious hole wot someone else dug but I am investigating? Did you see all the millions and millions and millions of people over Dad's shoulder?  It is because all the children are off school and trespassing on our beach So we have to behave. And fight! -  which got the sand off my moustache very nicely

THURSDAY 17th Mar: Awesome spring lake

Tara: Sidney has fleas again!  Sidney has fleas!  And I don't.  And Cato doesn't!  So Sidney has been treated, and Mum says we may escape, but if we do get fleas it will ALL be Sidney's fault!  Hahahahaha!!!   Cato: Mum finished work early today, so we got a really good walk!  And a picnic in the car.  It was ACE.  She took lots of boring pics of plants and stuff, and very few of us, so you might get a bit bored.  But she gets all waggy tailed when the weather is nice and the

THURSDAY 16th September: Misty woods

Tara:  Mums on holiday!  But I am NOT!!! Not fair!!! We had to wait til Mum finished work yesterday before we could walk.  On account of her holiday starting then.  But I thought we woz going mountaining, on our hols!  But she says we still have to get to the mountains, and that won't be til Saturday, so she is on hol but I am not. But we went to Bear Woods in the Mist today, so it was OK.  Damp sniffy and misty.     Cato:  It was a good walk.  Dad came too, and we wandered a

THURSDAY 16th June: PingPongPark Rumble!

OK (says Mum) think we have to do this one a bit differently, since they can't agree who won The War.  So I will speak first, setting the scene, as it were, and then they will each get a turn to comment on each picture.   But before we start, I want to reassure you that no Shih Tzus were harmed in the making of this Epic, and they have both spent a lovely afternoon snuggled up with Dad on the sofa, watching the England v Wales footie match.  So Peace was restored. Since the weather was

THURSDAY 15th December: Car hunting is BORING

Cato: Oh Aunties.  It was such a boring day!  We got left alone TWICE!!! Once in the morning before breakfast, and then once in the afternoon, after breakfast.  It was very worrying.  But then Mum came and said she was sorry and walked with us to the Hot Choc place.  And we saw a CAT. But that was it.  The whole of the rest of the day was really nothing exciting. Tara says she doesn't like the new car, and she hasn't even met it yet.  She says that it doesn't have nice seats,

THURSDAY 14th Apr: Fights benches and sniffs

Cato: LOOK!  Isn't this THE BEST EVER??? Someone dug this for us, and there is a worm in the bottom.  It was a slow deep sniff.  I had to get right in there.  And stay there.  Mum and Dad walked off cos they are disabled in the nose department.  And Tara walked off because she isn't capable of appreciating.  But I would have stayed there FOR EVER if Mum hadn't kept calling me We got some other sniffs on the way round the lake though.  But none of them were as... as... importa

THURSDAY 12th May: R & R

Cato: After yesterday's karate, Mum said were were going to have an easy day.  So no walk. But i have been very very sleepy. we did have a big bounce, with pythons and bears, but i ended up snuggling with Mum on the floor.  And bone-chewing takes a LOT of concentration! This is us after our tea. And this is my full tummy Mum says my feet are pinker than they were a week ago. Even Tara hasn't been bouncing much.  In fact, she seems a bit quiet.  And od

THURSDAY 11th Feb: Restless

Mum: Thought I would go first today.  So there, Tara!  Just trying to get my story in first, before they publicise their 'take' on the day.  I have noticed how they just seem to ignore facts in favour of dramatic flair, sometimes. OK, so firstly, it was all a genuine mistake.  I planned a nice walk, and then Auntie Jane called and we arranged to pop over in the evening, to see her and Uncle N.  All good so far.  Only then I thought 'well, if I wear them out with a walk, they won't be m

THURSDAY 11th August: Short and hot

Cato: Tara is snoring, so I get to tell you about our walk in Foxy.  It wasn't a long walk, on account of being so hot.  And Tara was all bouncy, and rough, so we got worn out really quickly.  But Mum took some nice pics.  So here goes. This was an epic battle.  I scooted Tara up the bum to start with.  I knew what I was doing.  But she over-reacted a bit, I think. See what I mean? But then she let me up, so I scooted her again!  He he! and then we had a r

THURSDAY 10th November: Two Wet!!!

Tara: Two days all wet so no walks!  Two!   I woz OK yesterday, but today I have been a Fidget Bottom and a Brat and a Pestiferous Little Monster!  Haha!  And I just had a Mad Half Hour!  It has been fun!!! The eye came off Yelllow Python, and Mum says I can't eat it.  And Dad says snooker is snuggle time, not World War Three time, and can I pipe it DOWN! Mum says that come Hell of High Water we will be walking tomorrow, cos she can't stand another day like today! isn't that

THUR&FRI 14-15th July: Dad walks

Cato: Dad took us out really early cos it was going to be hot, and we just went round the PingPongPavillion park.  It was very, very sunny.  And hot. And sniffy. I went on strike, cos I knew we had to go up the hill on the way home, but Dad didn't fall for it, and I had to run to catch up.   Then the next day we went to The Big Lake again, with Dad instead of Mum. And we walked the same route we did with Mum day befo

Thur 9th Mar: Big lake with Mum

Cato: This was an ACE sniffy windy walk. There were plastic bag monsters hanging in the hedge.  I saw them.  But Tara didn't.  Mum said they were safe, cos they couldn't get us.  And they didn't.  Silly monsters. There was lots of mud.  Tara liked that.  It has been too wet to walk down the Tunnel, Mum says.  So we had to mud puddle where we could find it. a sky pic.  Mum says they look like a pod of whales.  Wot is a pod? There were some lovely sniffs.  M

Thur 5th Jan: Big Lake Bird Hunts

Cato: I love hunting!  Tara says I am obsessified, but I am not.  I am just very good at hunting.  And when you are good at something, it is a terrible awfulness not to use your natural talent, isn't it Aunties?  so I can't really help it, can I? Dad was tired after doing his shifty thing, so we left him and home, and me and Mum and Tara went to the big lake park where there are LOTS of birds to hunt.  We have pics! I think Tara is just jealous of my hunting prowess and mojo

Thur 4th May: PawNapping wot I foiled!!!

Tara: Finally!  Mum has catcheded up enough blog for me to tell you about my Big Adventure!  I woz AWESOME!!! And there aren't any pics cos Mum and the camera were left at home. So, first off, Mum and Grandma and Grandad had this big boring conversation, all about walks, and were there poo bags, and did G&G have water, and yawn stuff like that.  I wozn't listening, cos Grandad had the leads in his hand and my ears switch off then. Then it got really exciting, with leads a

Thur 2nd Feb: Big lake, big paws!

Tara: It woz a horrible walk today.  There were scary big paws everywhere, and I didn't like it! This is Cato's first widdle/sniff. and look at this lovely wet squelchy mud.  I wanted to go swimming, but Mum kept saying how cold the wind woz, and how we needed to hurry. See how windy it woz for the swanses?  and the other birds. I asked Mum not to take any pics of me today, cos I didn't have a bow AGAIN.  It fell off!  Mum did brushing and bow stuff this mornin

Thur 19th Jan: Cato in hospital

Mum:  Been a bit quiet lately, for reasons about to be explained... We got back from Grandma and Grandpas, and had a relaxed day on Monday (well, the paws relaxed, anyway) and had a nice short beach walk, which they both enjoyed. Then on Tuesday we went for a longer walk, after dark, on the street.  Because Cato was clearly on the mend, and was up to it.  Only he wasn't really.  He obviously loved being out and sniffing, and so on, but was totally wiped out by the walk, and slept like

Thur 16th Mar: Holiday beachification

Tara: Oooooh Mum has been so sneaky!  She has been having a Special Secret and she didn't tell us!  We are having another mountaineering holiday!  And it starts today!!!! It is SO EXCITING!!!! It started with a new sausage place.  Not our usual sausage place.  Dad said he felt disloyal, and he prefers the old place.  Mum didn't mind.  Cato liked it cos he could Starling Hunt.  And I didn't like it cos a big black Lab came and looked at me. This is me waiting to see if my

Thur 12th Jan: Pack mountaineering, centre of universe

Tara: Ooooh Aunties, it woz the bestest walk today!  Dad came too.  Mum took LOTS of pics of me on the summitty things of mountains, and beating up Cato.  Look!!! This is me on my first mountain of the day.  Mum says I look proper statuesquew. This is me and Dad on the long mountain range, while Mum and wimpy Cato stayed down on the path.  I ran backward and forwards over and over again, and bounced on Cato every time!  It woz ACE!!! This is Cato in the dark.
