Tara:
Aunties, something wrong is happening. It all started when Mum went all Dog Calming Signal Whisperer on us. It was OK to start with. I barely noticed. But now she is stopping me from bouncing on Cato. Even out on walks! She only lets me bounce when he is ENJOYING it. Wots the point of that? It should be that I can bounce when I like. Which is all the time. Not fair!
And now, he is getting all... um... confident. It is weird. I mean, look!
Here I am, splatting him
Cato:
No Big Bed last night. We did ask. I asked a LOT. But we had to go in our Dens. Dad put us down there. And then he put Tara back down there 3 times when she jumped back up. I just sat and Meercatted, cos I am more polite than Tara, but Dad even resisted my Meercat requests.
And then I had to have a poo event in the middle of the night. Mum thinks it was the salmon. I LOVE salmon. But I don't like poo events when I have to ask Dad to carry me downstairs.
But then
Cato: No walk day cos it is raining horrible wet soggy miserable boring rain.
But that is not important. Wot IS important is that we got to sleep ALL NIGHT on the Big Bed.
ALL NIGHT!!!!!
It was fab.
Dad woz out doing work stuff all evening, and we had to go upstairs without him. That is always fun, cos Mum has to get one of us under each arm, with her mobile phone tucked in her bra, and then turn off the light switch with her nose.
Then we go upstairs and wait on the
Cato:
Dad was off out for AGES today, and got really hot. So when he came back he said that we would have to walk after the hot bit went. But then he went off to work, and left us, so we had to walk with Mum. And since he had taken the car, we couldn't go anywhere interesting
So this is our walk:
See how tangled Tara has made the leads already? We have barely started! And already she has pulled me off my legs when widdling, and gone round and round me. Sigh.
but
Cato:
First I have to tell you about my exciting Garden Defence this morning. It was brill!
There was a strange monster at the end by the gate. Grey and dangerous looking!
It had obviously just come in, and was planning its attack! So I rushed over to stop it, and cornered it where it couldn't circle round me! And I barked and barked and barked until Mum and Tara came to back me up, then I held my ground while Mum faced the monster down. Once she had it under control, I che
Cato:
Another non-beach walk today. Mum promises that we will get there one day, but Auntie Jane didn't know about the beach plans, and it would have taken longer...
So we had a sausage cafe breakfast, with Tara whining. Mum was NOT impressed. It is all cos last time we were there there was a woman with a Jack Russell under the table, and the Jack got treats all the time. And whined whenever they stopped coming! We woz amazed! we would NEVER have got away with that! So this ti
Cato:
Cos it is still so cold and windy, Mum and Dad decided to save the salt marshes for another day.
But we went to the Town Park instead!
Lots of pics today. A duck hunt. We met Daisy. And saw rabbits. So it was a GOOD walk!!! Mum took lots and lots of photos, and then got rid of most of them. These are best special ones, but there aren't many distance views. I like distance views, but Mum says we will have to do them another day.
Mum says that the same man who pl
Tara:
Mum says I can tell you MY SECRET now, cos it isn't a secret any more! It is Cato's Birthday! And we are going out to meet Dad later, for sausages
(Mum: actually for lunch, but there will be sausages, yes)
- and we will go for a walk. It was going to be a beach walk in the salt marshes, but the tide is in. so we have to go somewhere else. maybe the big lake. we get to decide when we eat the sausages!!!
And Mum said that I get to have some of Cato's chicken, later
Cato:
After yesterday's karate, Mum said were were going to have an easy day. So no walk.
But i have been very very sleepy.
we did have a big bounce, with pythons and bears, but i ended up snuggling with Mum on the floor. And bone-chewing takes a LOT of concentration!
This is us after our tea.
And this is my full tummy
Mum says my feet are pinker than they were a week ago.
Even Tara hasn't been bouncing much. In fact, she seems a bit quiet. And od
Cato: Tara has a new obsession. She has forgotten all about Tomboying, and has moved on.
We had a long boring day, and then Dad came home and Mum finished work, and we all went out to Our Field at the end of the road. We were going to walk through the cemetery too, looking for ghosts, but after the Field we had ALL had enough, I think.
Went round twice. First time was fun.
Sniffy holes:
and Mum squeaking about all the dandy seed heads
and isn't
Cato: Mum says it is too soggy for a walk today. And Tara is being unbearable. She was so bouncy that I wouldn't go to Dad to collect my Calcium Bone treat, so I didn't get one. She had one though.
Then Mum gave me mine when she wasn't around, but I made the mistake of going to my Treat Place in the front room, and she saw me. If Dad hadn't been there, she would have stolen it.
Anyway, Mum says since there is no walk, and no pics today, cos everything is soggy - except us, and we
Mum: Today was mainly about sunlight, not sniffs. You will see what I mean when we get to the pictures. It was just the most beautiful day, from the early morning sun in the garden, to the after-work walk in the Dog Field. Just such a pity I was stuck inside the whole of the rest of the time, staring at computer screens. lol.
Cato: So we took Mum on a guided tour of the garden this morning while the kettle was boiling. Don't you think it odd that she made such a fuss not to ge
Cato: So Dad is feeling better, and it was OK to leave him and see Auntie Jane. I had my bottom trimmed sprecially, and Tara had her sprout pinkified. And we went for breakfast.
Auntie was late, so we had to wait for a table, but it was good cos we got to sit in the shade.
Afterwards we had sausage, and walked back to the car with Auntie J and went to the park! It was fun, but hot. Mum says it will get cooler again tomorrow, but we may not walk in the middle of the day f
Tara:. Oh Aunties! My poor Dad is ill! I am so worried about him! He was up and down all night making stinky bathrooms and now he is just lying in bed. I have tried cheering him up with bouncing and licking and I have brought him toys, but he just wants to sleep.
Mum says I mustn't bounce any more or I will have to go downstairs. So I am trying. See?
But it is HARD. I am sure he just needs to play and bounce for a bit.
mum says that it is the stuff he got for lunch
Cato:
We woz still tired today. Dad has been sorting out the garden shed this morning. So we helped, but even that woz tiring. So Mum said only a little walk at lunchtime. It was street stuff. Into town to get stuff for Dad's lunch cos he didn't want stuff from the fridge. Wish we were allowed to say that! We could go into town and get steak every day, couldn't we?
Anyway, this is the road into town and as you can see, Tara is already trying to pull Dad around. While I am not.

Big walk. Tired. Cato even more tired than me. Sleep now.
Mum:

An hour after getting home:
(he hasn't moved a muscle, and is doing his TIRED snore)
And just now. 2+ hours later
Mum:
Lots of work on at the moment, plus the hot tub, of course. So I didn't get time to take yesterday's Blog dictation from the Hounds.
Actually, they had forgotten, so I popped their comments in for yesterday, and today is ALL MINE, and I can show you a few photos that I couldn't fit in yesterday from Foxy Park.
Hope you like them.

So we went to Foxy Park today, and it was really good. Lots and lots of sniffs, and Tara wasn't too unbearable. And I met Jess again. I like her.
Anyway, this is wot happened:
This was meeting a nice cockerpoo. She was very friendly, and she wanted to play, but her Mum was in a hurry.
and this was Jess. I remember Jess being nice to me when I was as small as a guineapig and the park was so scary I used to hide under Mum's skirt.
There were too many p
Cato:
We had a lie in this morning. All four of us on the Big Bed. I had a Nighttime Bowel Event in the middle of the night, and had to wake up Mum with a bark, but she carried me downstairs and then went to sleep in her office chair until I had finished. She says that we need to look at this, cos this is the 3rd time in a week I have had a Nighttime Bowel Event, and she doesn't want it becoming a habit.
I am just sorry that she doesn't want to have a game, cos I always come in fr
Cato:
Breakfast with Auntie Jane Today! Very waggy. We got so excited in the car when Auntie Jane appeared that Mum shouted at us for nearly bursting her eardrums. Wot are eardrums? We were jumping and barking and being very noisy. But it is very hard to be quiet when we see Auntie Jane! She is FAB!!!
After breakfast sausage we went to Foxy Park, but it was weird.
First great sniff:
No Foxy. He has definitely moved out. I got right down and sniffified the hole, a
Cato: Mum and Dad put us in our crates for breakfast, and went out to eat.
But as soon as they came home, on with the leads and a nice walk! Started with a trek to the butchers, where we waited outside with Mum. and Tara was a pest. Then we cut through the little Churchyard
Mum says these are bluebells just starting
and the fatty bushes did well through the winter. yawn.
Then here is one of your palms @AuntAngel and some roses along the wall. Mum sniffs t
Cato: We had the bestest walk all week! Mum wasn't stuck sitting at her computer today, so we went out for a Pack Walk.
Pack Walks are the best, cos everyone is together, and safer, and we can all make sure we are all alright. Tara is too silly to understand this. Anyway, Dad wanted to go to the little square park again, cos last time we went we saw Meg and played with her, and he wanted to see her again. Meg is a 14 week Jack Russell puppy and I liked her a lot. Dad says she is my
Mum: sorry this is a day late. apparently, hot tubs alter your sense of time, and even (in some circumstances) allow worm hole travel to alternate universes where the time stream runs differently...
Tara: Dad took us out again, yay! More treats. Cos Mum was W*rking. And we went to see Pops and Mam (Dad's parents). Mam always has a chewy stick ready for us, and Cato always takes AGES eating his and I finish first and then they make me watch him eat his. If he didn't want to e
Cato: Oh aunties, can you make it stop sleeting? We haven't had a walk again today! It was sunny for tiny bit of the morning, and then it just got worse and worse. Even Tara is getting used to just sleeping! And Mum keeps disapearing into the hot splash pool. All we can do is bounce a bit together, and bounce a bit with Mum or Dad when they aren't doing other stuff.
It isn't much of a life!
Could we come and stay (Mum and Dad too) somewhere nice and warm and dry, with some of you
Tara: I love My Dad. He lets me on the bed in the morning when Mum gets up and does bathroom stuff. And he took us to the park today. A different park. don't know wot it is called but it is at the bottom of the hill beyond the traffic lights. We like it cos we can walk to it. Mum says it is boring, cos it doesn't have proper flowers n stuff. But we like it cos you can RUN.
Because it was Dad, he let me wear my old red jumper with my new pink lead. Mum wouldn't have let me. I love
