Tue 21st Mar: Skipton Castle

Cato: Hello aunties.  I have to blog this, cos Tara didn't like the castle.  She says that Dad kept wandering off, up stairs and stuff and leaving her with me and Mum, and she was all squeaky and whiney. So I get to blog We had a nice short car journey, which was nice.  You can have too much of cars, can't you?  Even when you have your own crate and bed. And then a bit of a walk.  Very sniffy.  Old places are lovely and sniffy. This is just inside the gatehouse.  Gatehou

Tue 21st Mar: Burger and Church (Skipton cont...)

Cato: So when we left the castle, we went down the street past the church that is being used nowadays, and we found a fab pub! We all had burger!  and Dad had beer and Mum and me and Tara had water.  Mum wanted not-water, but someone has to drive home.  I wouldn't mind driving, but it is nice to snooze in the back after a lot of castling and pubbing, isn't it? Anyway, we stayed in the pub with Mum, while Dad went churching, and museuming, and then we stayed in the pub with him, wh

Tue 15th Mar: Beachy sniffs

Tara: We went to the sausage place and had Cato's gluten free sausages.  Yum!  and then we went on the beach!!!  Mum says we have to make the most of the beach now, cos when the Easter Bunny appears, we have to leave the beach all the Hot Time, and only get it back in the Cold Time. This is first sniff.  of course. Those people are farfarfar out.  Mum won't let us go that far out.  But it isn't very sniffy out there. Look!  They mended my mountain ramp.  And my clim

Tricksy Mum

Cato:  So Mum hasn't been blogging like she said she would, has she?  So I told her off.  She still needs to catch up lots and lots of adventures.  Including my terrible tum!!! But she says 'I can't blog every day, Cato.  No time.  But I am going to try and blog when I can.  And sometimes that means we may be able to do more than one blog in a day.  So that means we will catch up.' Humph. That just sounds like Mum is being tricksy, doesn't it?  I think she should bloggify every da

Train to Chester

Cato: Hallo Aunties and Esme Now you are all back, I can tell you about our holiday day to somewhere called Chester, which is an oldoldold town, with a big stinky train that went from our holiday den right up to Chester. Chester is hot and big and hard on the paws.  But it was OK cos Mum and Dad carried me some of the way, and we could sit in the garden while Mum went inside the Cathedral and took pictures of boring stuff for you. This is the train bit.  It was a bit dirty an

Train back from Chester

Cato: Hello Aunties. Mum says I have to finish our holiday bloggings so that I can tell you the exciting new stuff.  Like the bird feeder and my new bone. So here is more stuff about hot stinky Chester. Mum and Dad did all the boring Cathedral stuff, and then wanted to go off walking round the town.  :(  But it was too hot and tiring for me.  And we had already walked for AGES.  So I sat down.  And Dad said he would carry me.  And Mum said NO.  And I stayed sitting.  And in t

Town Park and Stinky Flowers

Tara: Hi Aunties!!!!  We have been off doing interesting stuff and sleeping and eating and everything, so we've been far too busy to blog. But today we only had a visit to Mam (that is Dad's Mum) and a walk round the park, so I get to blog for you and show AuntieCrystal flowers.  Did we tell you that Pop died?  It happened in a hospital near Christmas.  We are all sad about it.  He used to mess up my sprouts and call me a boy, but I did love him.  Mam is sad about it too.  So we g

Too hot

Cato: it is very very hot Aunties.  I don't think i like it. last night in the Big Bed, it was terrible hot, and i had to lie on my back to cool my tum!  Tara did too.  Although she did it sideways and tried to push Dad out of bed.  And she snores even louder when she sleeps on her back. then this evening, i had to keep getting off Mum's lap.  Cos of the hotness.  Mums' laps shouldn't be so hot!  They should be nice and snuggly when it is cold outside, and then nice and cool when

Ticklish Foots

Tara: Me again! Cato says he needs a whole blog to himself to tell you all the boring stuff about his Special VetDoctor stuff wot I didn't go to, and they won't tell me all about cos it is so dull i just fall asleep. Anyway, cos he's going to be hogging the blogging talking all about him, i can squeezify in first and tell you about my ticklish foots. No pics again.  Even though Mum says my foots are Perfick and pink and black and fluffy white and she wants to kiss my paw pads

THURSDAY10th Mar: Mystery Solved

Cato: Dad's shift started a bit later today, so he came out for a walk and some sausage with us, then went straight off to his Work Thing.  It was fun. See how quiet the cafe is?  No one to say how cute we are and stop to stroke us.  But it meant that the sausages came very quickly, although we had to wait until were were outside before we got ours! The beach was HUGE today.  There was no edge to it, and the sky came all the way down to it, and the world just fell off the ed

THURSDAY 9th June: Foxy with Dad

Cato: After a lot of discussion, we decided to walk Dad at Foxy today.  He knows the way around, so can't get lost, and it means we don't have to manage him on the pavement at all.  Hot in the car though! Mum says you won't recognise the park - not a flower in sight.  Says that Dad doesn't see flowers.  And has had to be trained to give them too.  It was lovely and sniffy today.  These are something called Tennis Courts.  Something to do with Wimbledon.  People only use them for do

THURSDAY 7th July: Warm windy Foxy

Tara: Yesterday it was nice and cool and windy, so wimpy Cato didn't stop us from walking.  Yay! This is me and Dad under the big trees.  Where the daffys used to be.  Lots of sniff! Me and nettles.  Mum said not to sniff them.  so I did.  But then she said they were too young to stingify.  so now I need to sniff them again, when they are bigger. Me, Dad and Cato.  Cato lagging behind.  Of course. He is so slllllloooooooooowwwwwwww! This is Cato being

THURSDAY 4th Feb: Greenwich Mean Time

Mum: Just got time to write yesterdays blog before we set off on todays Train Adventure.  Probably won't post the next one til we get back, unless the wifi at the hotel is MUCH better than expected.  We are leaving an incredibly grumpy Sidney, who has been following me round all morning screeching to have his window open.  But we are bribing him by leaving a bowl of tinned catfood in jelly, some crunchy biscuits AND an entire skinless chicken thigh.  Hopeflly he will have calmed down by tom

THURSDAY 4th August: Wild Woodses

Cato:  We went to the woods today.  It was soooooo lovely and cool and green and sniffy. and these soldier people stayed here ages and ages ago.   http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-15491945 Mum doesn't let us go to these woods very often, cos before I was born there were some dog attacks (Mum: staffordshire bullterriers, I think) and some little dogs like me got splatted.  It was very sad.  But that hasn't happened for ages, and it is the skool holidays and lot

THURSDAY 3rd November: Icky tum

Tara: Cato has been all floppy and boring and sorry for himself today.  He hasn't played.  And he woz sick on the sofa.  And the floor.  And the hall.  And on the green blanket.  And on the blue towel. and he pooped and pooped outside and it smelled weird! And then he and Mum went out!  Without me!  So I took Dad out for a walk, but it wasn't a proper walk cos Mum and Cato didn't come.  Dad says i had my tail all droopy the whole time, but i didn't think about it, cos I woz too bu

THURSDAY 3rd Mar: Sunny and short

Cato: It was sunny!  Feels like we haven't seen any sun for days.  So we rested all morning, then went out with Mum and Dad for a walk at the big lake.  Mum put her foot down (in a puddle) and said we couldn't go Off Path, cos of all the recent rain.  Humans are wimps, aren't they?  So we only walked round the lake, but it was still a good sniff. There was so much rain that all the mud has slipped into the water and made it brown.  See? Remember all those seagulls that we ch

THURSDAY 31st Mar: 2 hour pack walk

Bit fraught this morning!  turned the alarm off in my sleep, overslept and had to be up, washed, dressed, prepped and out of the house in 20 mins to get the dogs to Aunty Kim Dogsitter in time... but it looks like they had an interesting pack walk! https://www.facebook.com/Kims-Canines-1626201260985937/?fref=photo Taras tail is down in all the pics, while Cato's is up and plume like.  But Tara doesn't look stressed, and is obviously not skirting the pack hiding behind humans, so she is

THURSDAY 30th June: Foxy park pack stuff

Tara: Pack walk.  With Dad.  We woz showing him the way to go, as usual, cos he walks off in funny directions, sometimes, and doesn't always know the best sniffy route. This is the bottom of the Entmoot.  Cato is obsessed.  But he is never going to manage to widdle on every tree, in one go, is he? Aren't I cute?  Cuter than Cato!  Hahaha! I look like mud wouldn't melt, don't I? Ooooh look!  Mud.  Hahaha! And this is a secret sniffy door in the pa

THURSDAY 29th December: Swan Day

Tara:  Fab walk!  except for the nasty humpy dog, and the hissy swans, and the crispy mud.  But the rest woz FAB!!! This is how icy it woz.  That white stuff is crispy water, and it is VERY slippy.  Mum and Dad were waddling like ducks!  Haha Then these two GIANT paws came charging up!  I hid behind Mum, cos they were scary.  They rushed up to Cato - and do you know wot he did? He woz as cool as a cucumber, Mum says.  He went over to this tree thing, and he did a wee!  W

THURSDAY 28th Apr: Town Park and SUNLIGHT!

Mum:  sorry this is a day late. apparently, hot tubs alter your sense of time, and even (in some circumstances) allow worm hole travel to alternate universes where the time stream runs differently...     Tara:  Dad took us out again, yay!  More treats.  Cos Mum was W*rking.  And we went to see Pops and Mam (Dad's parents).  Mam always has a chewy stick ready for us, and Cato always takes AGES eating his and I finish first and then they make me watch him eat his.  If he didn't want to e

THURSDAY 27th October: sleepy snuggle day

Mum: We didn't walk today.  I was a bit achy (for no good reason), so we spent the day in the house and on the sofa.  Much snuggling, and brushing and playing with toys. As always, when we do this, they are both absolutely delighted with their chillaxed day, right up until the point (usually around 8pm) when Tara's energy reaches a critical pressure, and the steam HAS to be let out somehow.  This may involve barking in the garden, trying to put Cato off my lap by his tail, skittering t

THURSDAY 26th May: Flowerless park

Cato: Mum says to tell you that Summer has arrived.  Not really sure wot she means, but she says the park felt different today.  Like all the spring flowery stuff was over, and now there is the early summer lull before things like buddleia kick in. It didn't SMELL any different!   Anyway, here is wot happened There was a nasty crow-pigeon, but we ignored it, cos it is scary This is Bruno, he has put a bit of weight back on, and his Dad has been told off by the vet b
