WEDNESDAY 20th Apr: Donkeys!
Cato:
This is that first, all important sniff-widdle. It was lovely.
Boring white stuff
and then we saw the Donkeys. It was very exciting. There were so many of them!
This is me having a foray on the Donkey Side. I slipped through the fence and started to go to see them, but I got distracted by some delicious Donkey Poo, and then I sort of realised how close I was to them, and turned round to find Mum, and she had disappeared!!! So I executed a controlled retreat at top speed, and then I saw Dad, and headed straight for him! Phew!
But Tara didn't get any Donkey Poo, cos she was too wussy to climb through the fence!
This is us leading Mum away towards safer places and sniffs.
Tara:
So after Cato did his silly donkey stuff, and nearly wet himself hahahaha! we went along here,
which is BORING until you realise that the bit in the left is a FASCINATING and sniffy ditch. A deep ditch. With marvellous sniffy things in the bottom.
It is deeper than Mum is tall, but you can't really see that here. I wanted to go down it very very very much, but I also didn't want to go down... and Mum and Dad were watching, and I didn't want to get told off. So I didn't get too close. Maybe next time...
Then we got to the lake, and there was glorious squelchy mud, and Cato got told off for drinking the mud soup. And I got a 'Oh Tara!!!!' when I mud puddled. But it is OK cos I wiped it off on Cato's back, and the benches, and even on the grass.
It was a bit hot, and Cato lay down under the bench and panted instead of playing Truffle Hound. Mum says that when it gets really hot we will have to walk in the evenings instead of middle of the day. And then Mum can have her lunch in the garden instead of in front of the computer every day.
Mum:
Arty pic 1 (for Auntie Angel)
Arty Pic 2
And a fisherman that the mutts did not see (thank goodness) or they would have mugged him for attention, and his bait and sandwiches, if he had any.
Oh, and very interestingly, this afternoon, they went outside and sunbathed in the garden without a human for protection. They often go out and widdle, or play, but this time they lay in the sun, on the decking, rather close to the entrance to the side alley, and were completely sleepy and relaxed.
Those ghosties have obviously vacated!
