SUNDAY 24rd Apr: Cold and wet and windy and flowery
Tara: We went out to meet Auntie Jane to show her all my PINK, and she loved it! She looked at me, and looked at Mum, and looked at me, and looked at Mum, then she said 'You know, you are a really BAD MUM to have deprived her of pink up until now.' and Mum hung her head and said 'I know.'
Hahahaha! But I didn't have my piggytails in today. We are saving that til they grow a bit, before I wear them in public.
This is me with a stick that Cato wants to steal!
and this is right outside Foxy's house. The wind has thrown all the pinecones down. They are very sniffy.
we think that Foxy may have moved out. because of Cato always hanging around and sniffing and lurking. The ramp is all messy, see? Or maybe he doesn't like being bombed by pinecones.
Cato:
It was very cold and grey today. This is the sky, although Mum thought she was being clever piccing some lime blossom (she thinks it is lime), the interesting bit is the grey sky.
We thought it was cold and windy, but we didn't realise the sky was full of HAIL. Right at the end of the walk, when we woz heading for the car, it started to rain really cold wet bits, and then it started to shoot hail at us!!! We ran (never seen Mum run before, and she is very slow at it).
This is me asking Mum when my new woolly jumpers will arrive, cos I am COLD.
And this is me too cold to play with Tara and her boring stick. She was obsessed with sticks today.
The rain/hail started just after this.
Mum:
The weather was a bit of a surprise today, none of us were dressed for it! Hope it doesn't set the cherry back. Again. As you can see, the buds are just about ready to pop:
New growth on the copper beeches:
Double flowered narcissus
and the white ones are taking over from the yellow, by the mud puddle
This is Cato and a big black bouncy person playing through the trampled remains of those wee tulips.
He (the bouncy person) stuck his cold nose onto Tara's tummy, and she squeaked, which made everyone jump.
We are going to spend the rest of the day snug and warm inside, although there is a lot to do in the garden!
