Oh Missy this is so wonderful!  The whole world is at your feet.  All the adventures you are going to have now that you can go out with Mum and Dad!

I bet those shops smelled weird?  

Cato and Tara never get to go into shops.  but if we all go out together then Mum will go inside and Dad will wait outside with them.  More interesting stuff to see on the street than strange shop stuff.

Am sooo pleased you had a good trip.

Can they take you round a pet store next time, so you can pick out your own toys and treats?

Ooh thank you Auntie Jo! Yep it smelled really weird especially round those mowers! I'm sorry Cato and Tara can't go in the store, they'd really like surprising people, that part was super fun!! Mommy did let me smell around in the parking lot once we got done and there were some great sniffy smells there! Oh we go to the pet stores all the time, thats where Mommy's been taking me to get ready for my Big outings!  I do super good at those, I went last week when we got my hat I wore Sunday! I Do want to go again soon though, good idea, I'll tell mom!! Missy

Shorty usually gets to go in places that don't have food.  I take him to the big hardware stores like Lowe's and Home Depot.  To Home stores like Hobby Lobby and Home Goods - also Pet stores.  She always bring a towel for me, puts it in the children's riding spot in carts and keeps a soft leash on me she can secure on the handle.  He LOVES to shop!  Settles right down, watches everyone and is very well-behaved.

SO glad you got to go too and I'll just bet you were a sensation in your pink stroller!

Yeah......another adventure. See I told you once you could show how good and perfect you could be the adventures will be endless. I like going with Mom and Dad I just don't like all the attention I get. Mom always calls places before we head out just in case they don't allow pets......our Hobby Lobby said it was okay but I had to be in a secure cart......like my stroller.  Some people don't ask if they can pet your animal and they reach over and get bit and guess who's fault it is? The pets. Our Lowes even stopped allowing pets in the store for a bit due to that happening and the fact that people don't clean up the poop and pee if their dog has an accident. But they allow us back in now.....plus my Mom makes sure I am out of reach of people and politely says NO if asked if they can pet me. One can Look but No Touch!!!!  The first Saturday in May we are going to a Antique Street Fair in this neat little town Mom loves and Sophie, Winnie and I are going.......my Mom loves OLD things so we are going along for the ride. Now I know some of the Kohl's department stores will allow you in and some Starbucks have a pup drink and some Dairy Queens have ice cream for paws. If I think of anything else I will let you know. I wish we had places like Auntie Jo takes Tara and Cato.....don't you?  Your like us after an outing we are all bushed and have to rest......it is a lot of work to keep our parents supervised............

Oh But Aunties you Gotta hear what happened today~ it was pretty awful... Mommy got up early and got dressed, I was Excited to see where WE were going! Then mommy put on 'real' shoes Not Our shoes.. I got mighty suspicious right then.. Then she did it- she got in the car and Left, without Me.... I Couldn't Believe she would do something like That after me being such a Good Girl...  She called lots of times too, just to rub it in I think... I growled at the phone Everytime! She Finally came home and said something about a meeting... Yeah Right... I'm sooo upset that mommy would leave me... ?Missy

i have Officially created a Monster! Hubby said she was Very upset I left! And when I got home I tried to take her for a walk but we were pouting and she refused to go! Oh my, hopefully she'll get over it soon!  

Thing is, Missy, you wouldn't have enjoyed it, even if you had gone.

Mommy went alone so you didn't have sniff the horrible sniffs and meet horrible Meeting People who would have wanted to fuss you without asking.

by staying home you missed all that nastiness.

and I bet you got an extra treat out of Dad?  Go on, admit it!

LOL - our dogs know EXACTLY what's "going on" and the signs that we will be leaving.  Besides the usual showering and dressing.......there is putting on shoes, putting on lipstick (I kid you not), getting a jacket but MOST of all retrieving purse and keys.  Even when Sophie the Boxer seems to be sound asleep upstairs, she can hear me open the coat closet for my keys and purse and zooms downstairs.  Shorty G is SO fast -  he reads all those signs as well but if I'm not careful (when they don't get to go) he can move SO fast and get out the teeniest opening of the door....."I wanna come!  Take me! Take me!"

We are lucky that our dogs are so comfortable in the car and always happy to go.....but the guilt, oh the guilt when they can't.  SIGH.

Girlfriend,

I know just how you feel......My Dad left me this morning at the back door and I barked and barked and barked and barked hoping my fussing would send him on a quilt trip and come back and get me but NO he just left.....and he took Lucy with him and not ME. So I sat by the coat rack and pouted. You just wait until he gets home he is going to catch the stink eye from ME..........

Tara:  Oh, I KNOW!  Dad just gets up, puts on his coat, jangles his key things and walks out.  He doesn't even say goodbye!

And I sit on the doormat and whine and whine and whine and whine FOREVER but he NEVER comes back (Mum: 3 mins, timed by my watch)  until something happens and I have to abandon my post (Mum: last time it was me opening the fridge!). 

It is AWFUL isn't it?  

And then, when he gets back, he fusses and talks to Cato as much as to me!  Not fair!  

Did Cato wait FOREVER in a lonely vigil on the doormat?  Oh no!  Cato just goes and settles on his bed and then ignores me too!

But I still love Dad.  Cos he is lovely.  And he gives better treats than Mum.  More often.  And bigger.  and last night he gave me a piece of bratwurst, but Mum doesn't know about that.

I Knew you would understand Lexie and Tara, it's just the worst isn't it?? Soooo unfair.. Missy

Girlfriend,

Gotta share my excitement with you.......but only you can know and Tara cause us girls have to stick together. When Dad got home yesterday I did not greet him at the door like I usually do.....so he did not get his Lexie Hug......and he ask Mom what my problem was when he called me and I didn't come and Mom told him that I was a bit upset with him. So he searched me out and he gave me a HUG and promised the next time he went I could GO. My actions put Dad on a guilt trip and he felt really bad.......and later in the afternoon Dad said lets go to the trail for a walk and I got to GO.........it was a short walk cause it was too hot for us paws but the ride in the car was okay with me cause I got to ride next to my Dad.........

Aww Lexie aren't dads the Best?!!! I Love my daddy sooo much, but funny thing I don't pine for him when he's gone... Odd huh? But I do for my mom, oh yeah I don't like it one bit when she goes and leaves me! And I just gotta run and greet her and kiss her when she comes home, I just Gotta! But I did give her a guilt trip and got a pizzle stick but Refused to eat it and that really got her cuz she knew I was waaay upset with her! And she picked me up and tried to cuddle but I jumped outta her lap yup no cuddles for Her! 

 I gotta learn to be more like you, you got it down girlfriend! Sooo glad you get to go next time with your dad!

Tara:  oooohhhhh!  you are my HEROINES!!!  need to try some of these.  only trouble is, I get a bit excited, and kind of forget to be cross.  Must try harder!
