Oh Missy, you are a heroine!  Making friends with Touché, rescuing Sweetie and coping with the rain.  So kind, sweet and brave!  If anyone deserves to meet a beaver, it is you.

tara and Cato are very jealous.  They have never met a turtle or a beaver, or a bird really (though they try!)

Yes it is a wild turtle, we have lots of them! And no that's our dead azalea bush that's trying to come back, mommy needs to trim the dead branches off! Its just the way mommy had to take the pic through the window, he's really on the ground!  ❤️Missy

I am so sorry I have failed you as your personal weather paw..........but the weather has been so nice here that I thought it would be going your way. I will do my best to see if I can get the sun to head in your direction.........What an interesting group of new friends you have.......I have a frog ( he makes so much noise at night when we are sitting on the porch, he is in my Mom's rain barrel) and a bunny rabbit and Mom says we have to be careful because we have a 6 foot black snake too......but I have to tell you Dad went to check on the Purple Martin house and their are 10 eggs he counted so far......we use to have a beaver across the creek from us but I think he moved......a man kept tearing down his house.......how nice of you to rescue that little bird tweetie......your such a good thoughtful paw.......I am not having a good morning...as Mom says I got up on the wrong side of the bed......whatever that means but when Mom read me your blog and all the new friends you ran into I cheered up....You have a good day and I hope our good weather will head in your direction..........

Oh Missy... A box turtle. I'm so jealous that you have box turtles living in the wild. 

A couple of years ago, I very nearly had box turtles myself. They are beautiful creatures. 

Missy if you every see any more, would you Kindly ask your mummy to take some pictures of them in their natural habitat. I would love to see them. 

Have you ever seen their hatchlings? 

I love how kind and gentle you was with that baby bird. I want to give you a hug for seeing it safely across the road. ❤️

Oh Bailey you didn't fail me, daddy said that storm came from the north so I knowd it wasn't down your way and I'm glad it wasn't cuz it was a two day rain! Today was pretty but it got Hot! Mommy tried to take me for a walk when it 'cooled down' to the mid 80s but I didn't wanna go far, too hot for me! Wow you have a Frog and a Bunny?! I like it when the frogs come in our fence area at night, they haven't yet but I can hear them in the woods at night! Oooh and I haven't seen a bunny since last year, and you used to have a beaver too, you're so lucky! But not the black snake, I don't wanna see them! Daddy likes them cuz he says they eat the mice I guess that's good cuz them mice cause problems with daddy's equipment, they built a nest in the gator and it caught fire in the engine a couple of months ago...  I sure hope you had a better afternoon and have a great night! ❤️Missy

ooh Auntie Julia I was soooo upset with mommy and you will be too... Last week one of our turtles, a mommy one, she dug a hole on the other side of my fence area and she burrowed in there and layed her eggs, yup she did! and mommy didn't have her camera phone. And she's soooo slow by the time she got it and it stopped raining the mommy turtle was Gone! I wanted her to get a pic of that for you but she missed it, I'm sooo sorry..  but Yes last year I saw her little babies and I hope I do again this year, they were sooo tiny! do you know about how long it takes? I don't wanna miss them!! Sure hope mommy can catch a picture of them! I'm gonna make mommy carry her phone everywhere so she can get turtle pics for you! ❤️Missy 

Oh No!! ? Missy you keep your eyes peeled and if you see another, give Mummy a shout. 

They generally lay eggs when it's raining. So tell Mummy to creep out with her umbrella next time ? 

 

It looks like you have Eastern Box turtles. You are looking between 60-90 days, but generally around the 75 to 85 day mark...

Missy, you look like you had a great time even if you did get wet.  It is so nice to see how protective you are of the baby bird. You are a great baby bird Moma.  

Ooh thank you Auntie Julia, that link is Great! Mommy was out doing some much needed weeding today and guess who she saw?!! I wasn't out there but I Did make sure she got some pics for you!! Here they are!

This is further out so you can see where he is, it's a garden area by a tree in our smaller lower fenced area. Can you see him back there??

And mommy felt Really bad for not getting the pics the other day so she went and got ones of where Touché backed in and we think layed the eggs. She thought you might still want to see it. So this is on the other side of the fence, from where Touché is in the pic above by the tree, this is in the big yard area, but it's not far from her. Again this one is further out so you can see the area better.

And here's a closer look at the hole, you can see 3 indents in there! We'll keep an eye on this and hopefully see some babies soon! Mommy won't let me down there except on lead but I can peak through my fence above and see this! So I'll be Sure mommy gets pics!❤️Missy

Heres my new friend from today, a baby Bambi!! We saw him last week and he was real little he's grown a lot! But he lost his mommy today and my mommy was trying to take a pic to show you and I was barking so I hope you can see him! But I Had to bark cuz I saw his mommy and he didn't and I wanted him to find her! So see I Had to get him to run off didn't I?!! ❤️Missy

We are looking after two more for my friend while she's on holiday.. It's my mummy tortoises two children come back for a couple of weeks...

Oooh Bailey I can't Wait to hear your surprise!! And thank you for telling me about the rain, it would actually be nice after this really hot weather the last two days- miserable and no walk..  Oh but I did get to play the first one of my new games today, it's a 3 in 1 game and I played the hide and seek part, it was Fun but I figured it out real quick! oh thank you Auntie Crystal, we are lucky for the nice friends but... Yesterday was our first snake sighting, right up in My yard area - Yikes! Daddy was too slow so we weren't able to kill it... And mommy didn't have her phone so no pictures.. She said it wasn't really a Kodak moment but a haul butt one anyway.. Since daddy didn't see it he said it was probably a 'good' snake but mommy says the only 'good' snake is a Dead one- I think I agree with mommy on this one!  ❤️Missy

Here I was feeling bad cause I turned out to be such a awful Weather Paw and after yesterday I am right up their with the Human Weathermen....they said NO RAIN........WRONG......It RAINED here yesterday for almost an hour.  Plus it is overcast today.....so I am not so bad after all. I will be anxious to hear more about your puzzle.......Mom says they need to make a more difficult one for us smart paws......in my house Winnie is the only one that has learned to work ours.....only because I taught her.......Mom says I am a good boy cause I leave the doors open so Missy who is going blind can find treats without having to work at it.......I think one day that might be me and hope that some paw will do the same for me. We got our surprise last evening..........can't wait to tell you all about it.......Mom says she still has to work the kinks out of it before we share our big TOY.......that is all I am allowed to say..........

I am not to say anything about it yet but it is pretty cool.  You know I am Mom's favorite and I am usually the first to do anything but Sophie got to try out the new Toy first so now she thinks it is hers.......Mom had me experience it last night and Sophie sat on the porch and cried like a baby that Dad had to bring her down (she won't go down steps) and I had to share.......Mom says we ALL have to SHARE.........I know what your going to say cause you have Cato and Tara........we have to SHARE but Missy does not know how good she has got it.......She does not have to SHARE does she?  The SHARE word is just about as BAD as the B*** word in my opinion.......

 you're sooo right Bailey I Don't have to share and I love it Everything is All Mine! Mommy Always talks about getting me a 'playmate' but daddy says I'm quite happy to be an Only paw that i wouldn't share well! And he's Right!  you're such a good brother though, taking care of and sharing with all your sisters! I know they Love you for that, specially Missy, that's Extra special that you help her get her treats!  I Can't Wait to see your surprise, it sounds Great!! No rain here yet, they say maybe this weekend! Mommy and daddy just said they have to redo our entire routine so I can walk when it's cool early in the morning, so sure hope that's not when it's gonna rain! Missy
