OH wow Aunties we went to this thing called 'Summerfest' today and did they get the name right-- it was like summer.. Mommy said it was gonna be some cooler and less humidity so we could go... and ugh those weather guys got it Wrong Again.. It's was Hot, in the 80s...
But the beginning was fun! Cuz this part is ole Virgini history and you know I Love history! So if you don't you might wanna skip this part!
So Look Aunties! This is called 'The Old Mill' and it was built in the late 1600s and there was a grist mill, a saw mill and a textile manufacturing mill, this is the only building left. The mill was run by Water! And they even made uniforms for the soldiers! It was built around the place where George Washington met Lord Fairfax on Washinton's First Journey to the Frontier! Neat huh?!!
And they had this pretty rock and flower area, Very sniffy!
But not Near as sniffy as this bush! Yeah I coulda stayed here the Whole time but mommy made me move on!

And the Ducks!! Oh please bear with mommy Aunties, she Insisted on calling these Ducks when you and I and Daddy all know they are Geese! Geez she just kept on saying Look Missy at the Ducks! And then wondered when I was looking All Around-- I Only saw Geese! 
Yup Geese All Right! 
Cept this guy! Can you see him Aunties? He's Trying to hide on the waaay other shore, and he's camouflaged in there but couldn't hide from me and mommy! He's a crane, ya know the guy with the Reaaal long neck but he put it back down here- he was trying to hide from Mommy's camera... He shoulda known you can't hide from her camera!
Well there were Lots of kids wantin to look at the 'ducks' geez they called em that too... I didn't stick around to tell them any different!
We went up lots of old metal crinky stairs like a fire escape... I didn't like them but mommy said I was a trooper, I went up them all! And we saw this gorgeous, huge Magnolia tree! Look at those pretty blooms!
The Really good thing was when we got to the top of All those stairs and down a ways was one of My stores! Mommy an me went in and I got some treats for being sooo good! Cept I had to go by some Huge dogs on the way in- it was adoption day and they had some pit bulls and weinimyer (?) they were Big, they wanted to meet me, but I Didn't!
oh Aunties I am just Beat now... It was soooo hot, I just wanted to come in and cool off and sleep... I'm gonna hibernate till Fall! Hope you enjoyed my day as much as me! ❤️Missy
