Pip:

Moms called the vet and I get a trip out on the bus at lunch time. The brat won't be coming along so it will just be me and mom :)

My eye is no better and keeps watering. Mom see's broken off lashes handing down and she thinks that's rubbing against my eye ball..it's been miserable watering constantly and I want to scratch it...So off for my trip soon..

Ohhh!  buses are sniffy!  And so are vets waiting rooms.  VERY sniffy.

Will your Mum take you anywhere else too?  And do you get to walk to the bus stop?

We've got raidn again today. :( so Mum says we can snuggle at lunch time, on the sofa with her, and see if the rain stops later for a walk.  But it smells like it will get wetter :(

Hope Mr Vet can help your eye.  Sounds owwwy!

Oh boy I had a good time. Yes the bus was ever so sniffy but I was too busy to notice .....I had my eye out on the two teenagers that were ohh'ing and aweing a me,..they were pretty too...but mom wouldn't let me go to them :yeahrite: So I didn't  get a pat from either of them. We got off at the pub...what ever that is but there were oh so good smells coming from the open doors...I smelled food.... Yum yum. Party pooper mom wouldn't stop even for a sausage though :(

I gave out half way through walking up the hill to my doctor and made mom carry me...Hey Cato! That sitting down and giving them the sad eye really does work..Mom carried me

I got to meet a pretty black and white spaniel inside the doctors...we had a wag and sniff of each other...she was pretty I thought. All the humans wanted a feel of my long hair...what's it with humans and long hair? Do they go around feeling each other's hair too?  :roflmao:

Finally the doctor lady called my name and I ran down the hall to greet her...I love my doctor she's so sweet to me and tells me how pretty I am....Of course I know I'm pretty but I like to hear it anyway  :spoton:She weighed me first and was very pleased with my weight...said I weighed the same as a year ago...Gosh has it been that long? I wagged my tail cause she was so happy with me.

She looked into my sore eye and mom told her what she thought it was ...she agreed it probably was those broken off lashes.........my inside eye lid was real red and sore so she put some drops in and I didn't feel a thing. Mom was worried I would misbehave and go cujo when she wanted me to go in the back room...she even told on me what sign to watch out for just before I snap...tattle tail mommy...I'm not going to bite today.....but I was good and wagged my tail and followed her like a good boy to the back room under the bright lights......I do love my vet ❤️

Vet lady and pretty nurse pulled out those pesky broken off lashes and I was so good...vet lady bragged to mommie how good I was and didn't mind one bit as they plucked them out ....mommie was proud of me too.

So I got drops to make my red eye better and left to go catch the bus back home and there were two different pretty girls this time smiling and pointing at me...I have them a smile and a wag. I was hot and thirsty so mom didn't stop anywhere else but that's ok...I got a day out and I feel much better now.

So I'm back home now and my eye hasn't run water since...Horray.

Awwww baby boy, hope that's the end of it!  *I* have an eyelash sorta like that.  It grows straight down and bothers me.  I pull it out with tweezers but it always grows back..........it stays gone for a long, long time but reappears and grows until one day when it touches my eye again.  Out it comes again.

So glad you enjoyed the bus ride though, as well as the vet's office..........much better than being worried and scared for the whole thing :doctor:

Glad I took him, there's been no more excess tears since he's been home. Tonight he was a little testy about me patting away the excess drops from around the eye so it must be a little sore..Poor lad...he's gone to sleep now, hope he feels all better in the morning

Cato:

sorry about the plucking

sounds like you were very brave!

hope it feels better soon.  We got a walk, in the end.  With Dad.  It was great.  Today we have to wait til it cools down this evening.  Mrs Postman just brought our envelopes to kill, and she was red in the face and puffed cos of it being hot.  So Mum says we are waiting til later.

was Abby very jealous of your outing?

Abby took it in her stride and saddled up to dad and went to sleep...she's happy with herself for not having to share dad for a couple hours. :)  Glad you got to go out with dad Cato and Tara...know you love your dad very much too.

I thought of Tara and Cato yesterday....while the walk up to the vet after getting off the bus wasn't to very far it was bright and sunny. I could tell his feet were getting very warm by middle way as he would stop and look down at them..I ended up carrying him half way just so his pads wouldn't get burned or too hot. It was a 10 till 12 appointment so you can tell it was the hottest part of the day...not a good day to be out.....but since all previous taxi's I've used have stopped hauling dogs for the drivers religious reasons I had no other choice but hoof it or take the short cut that was full of deep mud.

Makes me mad there is no other way of quick transportation for pets around here unless you own a car. I have nightmares knowing in case of a emergency....like cuts or broken bones that require immediate action...there is none and my pet would die before I could just get up the hill to the office.....worse yet if it's after hours and I would have to travel to the next town..... Animals have rights too...regardless of religion! Rant over :bomb:
