SATURDAY 30 July: Tunneling Adventure
Cato:
So Mum remembered the Tunnel, wot AuntieCrystal wanted to see. And we wanted to see it too. So Mum and Dad came with us to the big park with the lake, and we went and found the Tunnel entrance. It was quite difficult, cos it was so overgrown, but I found it - see?
Follow me!
It was very cool and sniffy and damp. Dad said there would be mud.
and there woz!!!
this bit was fun. We had a fight.
it woz a very looooong tunnel (Mum:300 yards or so),
lots of interesting sniffy stuff on either side.
Mum says that the ridgy bit is the line of an old boundary. Hedge or something, and the woods are probably the hedge wot has grown and spread. Mr TV Man says that you can tell the age of a hedgerow by the number of species growing in it. Some hedges are as old as Donte and Lacey's castle!!!
the end in sight...
Tara:
We woz waiting for Slow Coach Mum! Can you see my sprouts? They were bored of waiting.
They have cut all the hay and left it to dry. It is VERY SNIFFY. And prickly. And short arses can't run through it, and get picked up and given lifts. Not fair!!!
There is lots and lots and lots of hay
It was hotter in the sun, so we had a drink and a rest. You can't see it here, but I had a twig, grass, seeds AND some food in my hair. Aren't I clever!
Haha! Cato needs a face trim, doesn't he?
Mum says this is a pic of a silly woman taking her 2 children to meet swans. I have met swans. The woman is being VERY silly cos they are HUGE and bossy.
Mum says that is even sillier than me and the catflap, but I am not silly, I am scared. The woman has her children between the swans and her!!! Our Mum would NEVER do that with Vicious Attack Swans, would she?
This is the swimming area. I really wanted to go swimming. It looks such fun! But some meanie has put green fence stuff in the way!
Mum:
Arty ducks and duckweed, shot from footbridge
remember the tiny 8 signets in the spring? Well they have done incredibly well - there are 6 survivors!
the white feathers are coming through...
Any idea what this is? Grows like a sweet pea, flowers like an orchid, just casually climbing up the dogswimmingarea fence.
