Cato:

No pics today, cos Mum woz being prof- froff- proffessal.  She had to do a meet thing with her bosslady, but becos Mum works from home, Bosslady said 'let's go to the stinky coffeeplace.'  and Mum said 'Can Cato and Tara come and be veryveryvery good sitting under the table no-bother-at-all becos then we can walk there and back.'

So we did.

It was very, very boring.  They just jabbered and jabbered and jabbered about numbers.  And Tara was only a bit of a pest for attention.  I was good-as-gold.  And then we walked home down the sniffy lane and saw a cat!

Tara:

Bosslady wouldn't let me get on her lap, and she didn't have any treats, so we had to sit quiet and stop-being-a-pest.  But that woz OK, cos all the other people at the coffeeplace outside tables came and said hello.  That was much more interesting than talking about boring work, isn't it?

Mum:

So, they really were very good.  Tara did a teensy bit of attention seeking, and whined twice, but she stopped when I poked her gently with my toe.  And they were VERY patient.  We were there for over two hours.  The mutts did, of course, garner the usual adoration and attention.  I think we ended up talking to several adults, two waitresses and half a dozen children.  One couple sitting inside actually banged on the window to get our attention and waved, and gave me a thumbup.  Then when Bosslady went inside to use the bathroom, they struck up a conversation and talked about their two Shih Tzus named Cassandra and (I think) Titus.  Awesome names, eh?  They said they liked Tara's sprout too - I didn't put a bow on.  Was trying for smart-casual, not lickle pwincess.

Thankfully Bosslady didn't mind that she was temporarily absorbed into being part of Tara and Cato's Entourage.  In fact, I think she found it quite amusing.  It happens to Dad and me so often that I hardly notice it any more.  lol.  or I would have given her more warning - or even thought twice about taking them.

Anyway, we got the work we needed done, so no harm done.

Bosslady had actually met them once before - way back when Tara was about 16 weeks, we all (C,T and I) went over with a Xmas present.  If I remember correctly, Tara widdled on the kitchen tiles, ate the birdfood off the ground under the bird table, and caused both children to beg for a puppy for months after...
