MONDAY 29th August: Bank Holiday promenade
Cato:
Today is a Holiday for Banks, Mum says. Which means she doesn't have to do computer stuff all day. So we had a lovely Big Bed Snuggle, and a lie in. I rumbled and groaned and asked to be let up onto the bed really early (Mum 3am!) but they didn't know how early it was (Mum: yes I did!) and so I got away with it (Mum: only cos Dad had to go to work at 6am, and I didn't want to disturb him!).
Then we went to find Dad. Because of the Holiday, and the hothothot sun, Mum took us to find Dad in the car. Only that meant we had to find a parking space, which took AGES. But it is OK cos Dad has a nice long lunchbreak today, so we found him, and then sat outside a pub drinking water. We had some 100% burger, not a nasty burger too. Though we had to wait til we were back on the pavement.
Next stop was our nice Biscuit Cafe. But it was very worrying. See how worryied I am?
There were 2 new girls working there, and they didn't take any notice of us! I Meercatted and Cuted at them A LOT. But they brought Mum her peppermint tea, and Dad his latte, without bringing any biscuits!!!
It was terrible. Mum gave us some Walking Treats from the bag, but that isn't the same, is it? I could smell the biscuits on the counter! So I just kept Meercatting until Mum asked the girl for some. And then the girl brought some and apologised. And that made it OK.
Look, this is our empty biscuit plate.
I felt much better after that.
Although Dad left the pack and went back to work and we went for a walk on Our New Beach
This was Charlie. He is a very barky Schnauzer. He was friendly but LOUD, and he got Tara in a bit of a tizz cos he bounced down all the big steps, which made him seem very very tall. But she got over it.
See how tall the steps are? We walked along the top bit last time. The lady in the white t shirt is Charlie's Mum.
This is Tara trying to get taller. She saw a Border Collie in the distance, and decide to do her social climbing.
Tara:
Our New Beach is great and sniffy and climby. Look at me about to jump up here.
All those big dogs were a bit stressful, so I decided to beat Cato up to make me feel better. It worked.
Fighting is the bestest fun ever! And Cato likes it too, although sometimes he gets a bit cross. But it is worth it just to have this much fun!
See: I put my paw on his forehead, and his titchy little legses can't reach me. Hahaha!
Action shot: Me jumping UpUpUp! Very athletical!
And this is me on TopTopTop!
