Beach before we went away

Cato:

This is from before we went away too.  It had been raining really hard for daysanddaysanddays, so the beach was all flat and covered with little raindrop foot prints.  This is First Sniff.

We met this pack.  They were nice.  The paw int he middle is a Lhasa, and the other two are Tzus.  This is my tail before Mum cut it.  You can see how long my coat is.  These 3 must have been cold.  I was nice and warm.  Mr Lhasa is on a lead cos he is a bit difficult sometimes, his Dad says.  But he was nice to me.  Tara didn't say hello, so I don't know if he would have been nice to her too.

That is Tara's bottom you can see, as she jumps off her wooden mountain.  And can you see the donkeys?  I was looking forward to finding some of their droppings.  Droppings is a Hunting Term.

This is weird, isn't it?  There is a strange hole at the bottom of the pier stick.  I am standing like that cos I don't want to fall in the hole.  Not because I am about to poo.  Tara can be so rude sometimes, can't she?

This next pic is Tara running about.  Can you see her tracks (tracks is a Hunting Term, you know.  It is posher that foot prints, which are not Hunting Terms).   She was going to see that long stick thing.

They still haven't mended the slope, you know.  Mum said she thought you might be interested to see it close to.  Tara thought you might be interested to see her mountaineering.  Again.

Can you see where it is broken?

This is Tara looking North

And this is Tara looking South.  It is OK if you are bored.  I was bored.  There is only so much sniffing I can do while Tara tries to look statueskew and climbs on things.

North again.  I was asking if she was bored yet.

And this is me lining up for a widdle on the orange barrier.  I like orange stuff.  I like orange toys, too.  Mum says that it looks like they have dug a hole and filled it with concrete as a new foundation.

Oh, and remember how you asked about the black pebbles of oil on the beach?  Well here are some closeups.

they are like little tiny pebbles, aren't they?  hard like stones, but floaty.  And they don't stick to my paws.

There are some bigger bits too.  That is Tara's back leg, in case you were wondering.

It was very grey and dull, but it wasn't raining!  Mum said that made it a good day, even if it was a good grey day.

Then we walked home.

The Smoke Shack is where Mum and Dad went on Mum's birthday.  They liked it.

Those floaty black bits just fascinate me, shame they are caused by human pollution :(. But it was cool to see them close up, thank you for getting us a picture
