Cato:

aunties, my back hurts. ?

it was a bit hurty before, and my ankles were a bit wobbly, and Mum was thinking that I should go see Mrs Vet (once Tara’s bobble was gone).

but then she got better after the op, and she Bounced on me.  A lot.  Mum tried to protect me, but she couldn’t stop all the Bouncing.  Tara does big running up and down and leaping.  And woowoowooo!  And mugging and stuff.  And my back hurts.  Mum says she is veryveryvery sorry.  MrsVet says my back is soresoresore and there is gooey stuff to go on my breakfast, to stop it hurting.  That helps.

MrsVet told Mum I have to be lifted up and down, and no walkies, and i must lie with my back straight.  And we will see wot happens when the inflamflamashun stuff goes away.

and we are going to see MrsPawChiropractor next week.  Mum says she went to see MrsPC before, with Sidney, and MrsPC helped him and made his paw non-hurty.

So she will make my back non-hurty too.  Mum says.

Awwwww sweetheart. I hate to hear you're hurting.  You will need lots of lap snuggles, warm soft places to lay, especially yummy food, and lots of sympathy.

Shorty has a "narrowed vertebrae" ( (per a vet xray) which bothers him if he goes for too long a walk (usually on the beach) .  He gets very quiet and doesn't want to jump up or down.  It happened recently and I'm not sure what caused it but think it was from hopping up on a low retaining wall and then jumping down from a higher place.

Miss Tara........I hope you said you're sorry to the little guy.  I'm cross with you.  I think I'm going to send you a Boxer to play with......then you'll see what happens when you play rough.:sport_boxing::sport_boxing:

Cato, you have my sympathy. I was at the vet one time and a big, huge monstrous puppy (mom said he was a Golden something--all I know is he was big and bouncy) . . .well, that dog

Pounced

On

My

Head

?

I did not like it. Not one little bit did I like it. And I don't know but I guess pouncing and bouncing are about the same things.

I cannot imagine living with being pounced upon regularly. Even by someone much less monstrous than one of those Golden whatever things.

I hope you feel better soon and that Tara finds something else to bounce on. Maybe she should come over here and meet that Golden whatever???

Poor Cato!  You obviously need lots of extra love and lap time until your back feels better.  I'm sure the chiropractor will help your back feel better too.  I think maybe Tara needs a pet to play with.  Maybe a kitten?  ;)

Cato:

aunties, my back hurts. :(

my breakfast gloopy stuff stops it being so bad I tremble, but last night Dad came home from work and i got very happy, and jumped off Mum’s lap.  That didn’t hurt. :)  And i ran about and wagged.  But then Dad picked me up and sat me on his lap.  And it was AWFUL.  REALLY AWFUL.  I was all trembly and I couldn’t move.

So Mum gave me some extra gloop and we all went to bed.

when Dad picked me up this morning, to come downstairs this morning he was VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL.

i love my Dad.

Mum had Tara on her lead all yesterday evening, so that she could control the bouncing.  I think a kitten is a good idea auntie @Luna  but i think a big tiger would be better.  Could we borrow one, til my back is better?

or maybe a Golden?  We could borrow one of those.  It could stand on Tara’s head. ? @yogi and @auntiePaws4.  That would be good!

They went out for a long streetwalk this morning before the hotness started. They went all the very long way.  Tara had a whole sausage at Waggy Tails!  And they walked back through the seafront gardens. I would have liked the sniffs, but I couldn’t walk that far, so I stayed home on the Big Bed, with Dad.  Tara has been sleeping since.  It is very peaceful.

Mum gave me my gloopy breakfast when they got back.

She says I can have lap all day.  Except when she gets my supper.  And does bathroom stuff.  We are watching TV.

Cato, if you want I could send my Eve for a visit.  She will put the fear of God into Tara.  The only dog here she's afraid-of is 11-year-old Gus, who has ruled the roost since he was 10 weeks old (and that includes our 55-pound mutt Jack).  Gus is the "Godfather" and Eve is the Alpha Bitch (except for me).

aunties, my back is feeling a bit better. ?

Dad and I had a lie in, while Mum and Tara did longtiringwalkies.  Then I had my special gloopy medecine on my breakfast, and a little snnoze.

Then I asked Dad for my Sexy Babe cushion and had a little hump.

Dad says this is a VERY GOOD SIGN!!! ?

I would LOVE Eve to come and stay and Bounce on Tara.  I can watch, can’t I, @auntie Luna?

only she won’t Bounce on me, will she?  I couldn’t cope with 2 of them!

My back is getting better!

Mum said that i could go on a little walk today.  Just round the block.

But Dad was naughty and we went all the way to the High Street so Dad could get money stuff from the hole in the wall.  He said he would carry me if I hurt.  And I only hurt a bit.  I sat down once.  The rest of the time was lovely sniffs and stuff.

i love my walks.  I have been very sad without them.  Especially when Tara comes home smelling of Outside and I was stuck home. :(

Mum says i can have a rest day tomorrow again, if I need it.  But I won’t! The sniffs are too important,

Sweet Cato I am so happy to hear that you're feeling better. Please don't over do those walkies, better to have smaller ones more often!

Don’t worry AuntieSunlite, Mum won’t let me go far.

She got quite cross with Dad for going to the High Street!

Dad says next time we go we will go to a cafe for a rest before we come home.  I like cafes.  We sit under the table and watch everything AND we get treats when we leave! ?

DADS!  What are we (Mums) going to do with Dads!?!  Gosh darn it, Moms hover and watch and plan and are ever so careful.....along comes Dad whos says "I know JUST what you need - a good vigorous walk.  C'mon Son".

When I was dealing with torn cruciate ligament repair/rehab I decided Dads (as much as we love them) needed to go away to camp while pups were healing and Mom was watching them every second.

Mum:

Absolutely!  At the moment, Dad’s input needs to be restricted to Forced Route Marches with Tara, and acting as Taxi Driver to vet and Chiropractic appointments!

LOL - that's what I call them "forced marches" with Dad the Nazi walker.  'You WILL walk.  You MUST walk.  We will ALL walk".
