Marlene Gardner 91 Posted May 15 Report Share Posted May 15 (edited) Shorty is fine.....just saw this cute picture today and had to share it with people who would love it.. Actually I'm the patient. I had surgery yesterday for a big grapefruit sized hernia. It was a 5 hour surgery and I'm feeling painful today. I'm not supposed to lift anyting over 5 lbs for 2 months and Short Stuff is 11 lbs. Marlene Gardner 91 Posted May 16 Author Report Share Posted May 16 (edited) At 14, Shorty's back legs are giving out - because of severe arthritis in his spine. He has steps to the couch and to my bed as well as 2 other beds in the living room. We're figuring out a way for him to climb up the recliner footrest (only part way raised) with me tugging on his collar. Come to think of it....maybe I should put his halter on him .
