Our Newest Rescues

This is just a bit of info I got tonight from our director regarding our three newest rescues:

Alex: Shawn pick him up from Animal Care this evening, after a night in the hospital. He had his dental and neutering yesterday. The reason they kept him was due to excessive bleeding. But today he is a different little man. He is feeling much better and was soooooooo happy to see Shawn.

Precious: Last night Cynthia took her to the Animal Hospital, with pain & not using her back legs. Today after a visit to her vet, Dr. Gailor was called (a surgeon in Louisville), Cynthia & her friend, Cindy, transported Precious to Dr. Gailor and back surgery was performed this evening. Cynthia did call me after the surgery and Precious was doing fine. If she does OK tonight, Cynthia will pick her up in the morning.

Penny: Penny is doing extremely well and will be at our event tomorrow morning.

We'll probably need all the donations we can get to help with Precious' surgery costs. Cynthia was supposed to be helping me during the 1 - 3 time slot tomorrow, but, she won't be able to now since she has to pick up Precious instead. Therefor Donna, our director, will be taking her place. So it should be a good experience and give Donna and I time to get to know each other since I'm the newest member of the rescue. :tapfingers5rg:

Here's a little bit more about Alex, Penny, and Precious. Alex as you can see is a liver Tzu. He's really pulling at my heart strings I hope he'll be at the event tomorrow.

All these stories are so sad. I wish I could just take them all.

No kidding. It was hard at the event we had this past saturday not to steal them all away. Espcially Penny. She's a little liver girl and she's so sweet. I walked her and Ming Ming out to the bathroom and she was such a good girl. She went right to pottying. She has kidney failure, but, she's doing fine on the prescription food and meds she has.
