Thursday - I'm mad

PipsMom

Nooo Not me...Abby....she's so peed off with me she won't even look at me :crying:

Pipa and Abby always wakes up when hubby bring's up my hot cup of tea at 9 pm...papa always brings treats when he comes upstairs. They played and even had a few cookies with mom. Abby got the hiccups...So I turned her over to rub her belly..always a magically cure for hiccups.....I noticed a familiar friend....BUTT NUGGET.

Undoubtably hanging on for dear life since this mornings poo on her walkies......It would only lead to impaction if I left it till morning and that's even more distressing for her.....So I popped her up on the table.....baby wipes, warm water, fine tooth comb, blunt ended Scissor's....She must have known what was up because she clapped that tail down hard and sat on it refusing to stand.  Oh never mind Abby if you want it laying down so be it.

Ooooo she hates me messing around back there as I identified my target and what it was actually attached to...It didn't take 10 seconds with the warm baby wipe but she acted like it was a hour...

Pinching the little golden nugget with the wipe it loosened enough to slide it out from the plug hole, then using my elbows held her head back and slipped the fine tooth comb up under it...creating a barrier between the nugget and the skin...I cut out the nugget along the top side of the comb without any trouble and didn't have to worry about accidentally cutting her.

Then I got the trimmer out and gave her a Brazilian around the whole area...The indignity she thought

So she's peed off with me right now....look how far she's moved away from me on the bed....LOL

OH bless your little heart Abby! Wow here you were all snuggled in, you and butt nugget, right beside Mom in bed and geez she didn't want to sleep like that??!  :roflmao:

Oh no!   Not a "dingleberry"!!  Moms do get a bit picky about sleeping with one of those.

Recently Sophie who is pure white and very short haired felt one of those......hanging.  It was driving her crazy, spinning around trying to get it and finally scooting through the wild grass.  The grass is tender and long because of the recent rains so not only did she have a dingleberry.....she had a green one!

Oh the indignity of it all...........

A couple of days ago I had a total of 4 dogs (with normally cast-iron stomachs) suddenly have NOT golden nuggets but rather soft brown BOULDERS stuck to their hineys!  I combed them out, clipped the offending area (although it wasn't really all that long), washed 'em with wet paper towels and fasted them for 24 hours.  All seems OK now.  My puzzle is WHY?  Did we bring something home from the shows that only affected a few dogs or did the newest bag of food have a problem that only affected a few of the dogs?  Have emailed the food company but doubt I'll hear from them.  Ah, the joys of being parent to both children and dogs!  ;)
