WEDNESDAY 17th Feb: No walk :(
Sidney:
My window was opened for half the morning then closed when it started to rain. So I couldn't smell the rain.
Then it was opened for half the evening, after the rain had stopped.
That was bearable.
And we had a nice ear rub, purr and cuddle in the big bed last evening, and I got the middle spot, as always.
However, I noticed that they were looking at holiday cottages on the computer last night. And train schedules.
Tara:
No Walk! It was too wet! I wouldn't have minded, honest!!!
So we had a really boring day. Up with Mum first thing to watch her sit at her desk. A couple of trips out to the garden to bark. Being called in because of barking. Dad sitting at his desk. Playing with the flashing ball toy. Sleep. Watching the rain out of the window. Annoying Cato by taunting him with the ferret toy. Sleeping on top of Cato. Sitting in the front room with Mum. Being brushed. Python wrestling. Cato wrestling. Barking outside...
Hope we can walk tomorrow, or I will... will... um... burst!
Cato:
Nice peaceful day. except the bits when Tara woke me up, sat on me, chewed my ears and stole my bed.
I don't mind a day off, now and then, and it WAS raining. Hard.
Mum sat on the floor with us for a lot of the evening reviving the python after we had killed it, so that we could kill it again. It is bent now. And doesn't squeak any more. But I still don't think it realises who is Boss.
Mum:
It would appear that rain, followed by frost, then wind, is not good for even T Rex tape. And we can't get out there and try to sort it until it is DRY.
Sigh.
The holiday that Sidney is concerned about will be a 3 night stay in a self catering cottage in the South Yorkshire Dales. He will, unfortunately, have to go into the cattery for the 3 nights. The dogs will come with us , and we intend to squeeze in a day's train trip for them at the same time, just so they get used to occasional train travel.
This is the view from the cottage. Can't bloomin' wait!
There are walks from the door, spectacular views, and a shop only a couple of miles away.
Let us just hope the weather holds!!! Wouldn't it be TRAGIC if we were snowed in, for days... unable to get back to work...
