TUESDAY 23rd Feb: Holiday Adventure

Crinkly

Sidney: off to prison :( have my bed, my carrier, my catnip mouse, and i haven't had ANY breakfast.  But i had a good sleep last night.  I pushed Mum closer and closer to the edge, all night, til she woke up almost falling out.  Bet she misses that tonight!

Cato:   Long car journey.  We stopped once for widdling.  Lots and lots of strange dog sniffs and the grass was shoulder high, so lots of bouncing.  We also stopped in a car park and Dad went food shopping and Mum stayed with us.  Tara got squeaky.  But then Dad couldn't find some stuff, and Mum had to go instead.  I fell asleep.

now we are at our new home.

We have a bigger garden, but no dog flap.

There are horses next door, called Blackie and Smokie.  Hope to see them tomorrow.  And there is a cat called Ginger.  Can't wait til Tara sees him!

we brought our blue beds and the green blankie, so that it smells of home, but it still seems weird.  Tara seems to think that taking our toys into the garden is a good idea.  Have i ever mentioned how silly she is?

Tara is barking as every noise.  I am just tired.  But it is lovely to be with Mum and Dad.  Poor Sidney.

Tara:

so far, we have had a fight in every room except the human wee room,

and i have climbed on every chair and some of the tables.

i can't reach the bed though. :(

we aren't supposed to get on the furniture, which is very weird.  But Mum says so long as we sit on the green blankie, she won't tell us off.

the floor is really sniffy.  All sorts of other ppl have been here.  Wish i could meet them, they sniff really interesting!

tomorrow, we might go to a dog friendly pub for breakfast, and you know what that means! SAUSAGES!!!

How cozy!

You know......you can't send a man in to do a woman's professional job - grocery shopping.

I love the rock wall around the place.

Will you have a fire in the stove?  A walk in the cool air, breakfast with sausages, maybe a little window shopping, back to the cottage, make a fire and take a nap.  Wake up in time for lunch.....repeat.  Maybe some more shopping , a good bottle of wine for later.  Back to the cottage......read for awhile.  Decide where to have dinner and mosey over.  Eat something expensive, order dessert and take it back if you have to.  Cozy up on the couch with another fire, open the wine.  In my case I'd have some wine, hubs would have the dessert and milk.

Snuggle up in a group dog/hooman bean pile and snooze away.

Sidney, I bet Mummy will miss you tonight in bed. I hope they fed you well when you got there.

Cato, look at your lovely new home, with your big garden to play in.. Donte says, have you seen any horsey poo?

Tara, Lacey says she loves fighting in the garden with her brother, it's good fun isn't it..  We took a blankie on holiday with us, as the people said we couldn't go on the furniture too. Our Mummy and Daddy said it would be OK as long as we were good.. Hehe we are always good.

Donte

would you please have a sausage for us, as I'm not allowed a sausage as Mummy thinks it might make me itchy and Lacey isn't allowed one because that wouldn't be fair on me.. So enjoy your sausages q

ETA

Jo,  your holiday cottage looks lovely and the scenery is beautiful, enjoy your holiday

Look what we found!

http://www.thelamppostcafe.co.uk

check out the menu!  The mutts will have their own.  I am thinking scrap the pub and go to this place instead.  They will love it.

Will be visiting Haworth, where the Bronte sisters lived one day, and visiting a friend in Clitheroe (nearby town) the other day.  Then home.

plan to be tucked up in the cottage snuggled by fire as early as poss.  Eating in for evening meals.

horse poo is (un)fortunately(?) on the other side of the stone wall.  Major disappointment from Cato.

i'm thinking the dogs may enjoy their dog cakes even more than sausages, but is that even possible?  Will let you all know!

Maybe you and I should go together.....Truth be told, my husband would NEVER come back, make a fire, take a nap, relax, relax, relax.  He has to be in motion all the time......not that he accomplishes much!
