Tara:

No walk!!!! No pics. No fun. Nothing but boring snoozing on our beds.

Mum didn't even stop working for lunch.

We had to wait until Dad came home from work at 2pm before we got a single game!  But he sat on the front room floor and wrestled with the python, and we helped.  A lot.  And when he got tired we took over, and wrestled with each other.  And then we wrestled the panda and the brown bear.  The brown bear is particularly dangerous and we had to kill it over and over and over again cos it kept growling and coming back to life.

And then we had beef mince for breakfast, which was LOVELY.

Cato: the only exciting thing to happen was my tail cut yesterday.  It was scary to watch how much Mum was cutting off, but it turned out OK.  In fact, I think it looks the best EVER.  I liked it long, but it was tickling my back a bit, and going straggly.  And now it is back looking better than Tara's tail, which is very important, isn't it?

Mum said you would see pics of it IN ACTION on our walk, then we didn't have one. :(  But maybe tomorrow.  It is always sad to think of all the sniffs that get washed away, unsniffed, when we miss a walk cos of the rain.

Dad is out playing snooker tonight, but needs to go to bed early.  So Tara has been LECTURED about not disturbing him, cos he needs his sleep.  she wasn't listening.  Mum says she is going to have to leave us downstairs tonight while she does the bathroom, then come and fetch us.  But I think that Tara will whine and think she has been left downstairs for the night.  I will try and stop her, of course.  But I think her whining will wake Dad.  I never whine.

That is GENIUS.  Filing it away in a corner of my cobwebby brain.

I had a very young foster puppy once who had a bladder the size of a pea.  But he was a very good boy and surprised me by toddling into the stall shower and pottying.  I wasn't thrilled about it.....but it was better than going on the floor and easy to clean up (it was in the guest bath which we never use........don't tell my guests).

First thing in the morning, I'd retrieve him from his crate and take him in the bathroom with me.  I sat on the throne and he squatted in the shower.......no accidents on the way to the backyard first thing in the morning!

I read somewhere where a lady lived in a flat and her paw used the shower tray as its toilet.. Brilliant idea...

Wow, you wrestled a python, panda and a bear, you must be so tired now. Good job you had all that energy saved up. ?

A tail trim for Cato too.. I don't understand how it look better, because it always looks lovely ❤️ We need pictures... ?

Wow a Bear! Missy would Love to see your Bear, she's heard of them but hasn't seen one- Yet! ;) Sounds like a Very Fun day even though you didn't have a walk!

Ya know Cato Missy thinks there's a Lot of New smells from the rain, she actually Likes that! Please don't let her know she's Missing any smells- so far she's mastered about 10 feet being an hour 'walk' with all her sniffing! :judy:

Oh poor Tara I sure hope you don't whine tonight sweetie, Missy says being put in a BTub, she can't even Say the B word, would certainly result in much more than whines from her! Even if there Wasn't water in it!!! ;)

Cato having one of his early epic battles with the Bear.

he is now more than twice the size of Bear, but (as we all know) it isn't size that matters - it is grit, determination, skill and endurance that win the day !

(sorry about the poor quality of the vid)

ya know, nowadays when i see that vid i simple can't believe Cato was ever that little, or that worried looking.

but casting my mind back, he was an anxious little pup.  I think being An Only was hard on him, and even though i never told him off, he was still expecting the sky to fall on his head.

thankfully, he has grown into a steady, bomb proof unphazable kind of person, but back then i used to wonder is he happy?  Is he fulfilled? I think he grew into both, but not until he reached at least 9-10 months.  Bless him.
