MONDAY 9th May: Sunlight
Mum: Today was mainly about sunlight, not sniffs. You will see what I mean when we get to the pictures. It was just the most beautiful day, from the early morning sun in the garden, to the after-work walk in the Dog Field. Just such a pity I was stuck inside the whole of the rest of the time, staring at computer screens. lol.
Cato: So we took Mum on a guided tour of the garden this morning while the kettle was boiling. Don't you think it odd that she made such a fuss not to get my fresh poo in the pics?
It is a Shih Tzu sized garden, and we like it. Mum planted it just before I came to live with Mum and Dad, and she says she wanted a garden that I could explore and not see all of it at once, and have different ways around - and to hunt in. And I can. I can hunt flies and bees, and next door's cats, and ghosts. So it is a good garden. Well, maybe I don't actually hunt the ghosts. Or the cats. But I bark at them when they stand on the wall.
Mum says the garden was happy today, and it shows in the photos. It does, doesn't it?
This fern is going to pop soon.
The first clematis flower
Mum says she needs to get weeding! She didn't expect this hosta to sprout, it is so late, and now it needs something called TLC
Sprouty fern. It really is this colour
Happy sunbathing fern
and even happier palm tree
Mum says these poppies are... oh, I can't remember the long word. But they are. VERY.
Unfortunately, Sidney's catmint doesn't look like it will grow this year.
By the way, those are stones, not poos. Dad just walked past and said he thinks they look like poos. They don't smell like poos.
Dad is getting better by the way. He ate some supper with us just now, and he is smiling and playing with us again.
Tara:
Is it my turn yet? Can I tell them about our walk? Can I?
We had to wait ages today, cos it was hot, and Dad was boring in front of the TV and Mum was boring in front of the screens. But then we FINALLY got to go out with Mum. We walked all the way along our road and met two OLD Llhasas, who were OK I suppose... And then we got to bounce in the field.
Mum took photos, of course, but the pics of the bummbley buzzy bees didn't work.
These are the cemetery gates, from our Dog Field.
This is one of those evil pigeons again. We don't hunt the scary black ones.
Look at all the dandlylions! The seeds go all floaty, you know.
and - how did this HAPPEN?!?!? - Cato got up to the top FIRST!!!
So I caught him up and bounced on him. Cos he deserved it.
But I got my revenge. I found these holes before he did!!!
And Mum went all ga-ga over the light here
