Totally off topic but I know a lot of us suffer from arthritis and just wanted to share something I recently found that has helped me a lot. The physical therapist actually used this on my pinched nerve and told me it would be helpful anywhere I had pain.

Since it helped a lot with my nerve and other muscle areas she used it on I bought some. I bought this one since it was the brand she used and I have a lot of issues with tape but didn't with this: https://www.amazon.com/Kinesio-Kinesiology-Tape-16-4-Beige/dp/B00WZ3UOE2/ref=sr_1_9_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1471088060&sr=8-9&keywords=kinesiology+tape

I also bought a book to help me to understand how the process worked and how to apply it but there is a lot of information and videos available on the web. They also incorporate acupressure and I have had success with just using it on pressure points also.

I will warn you if you have sensitive skin, like I do, you may have problems with it. Especially with removing it. Although I just read something on the web that said you are supposed to remove it in the opposite way of the stretch, better late than never for me to learn that! ;)

Anyway I used it on my arthritic hands (I have both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis in both hands) and it greatly reduced my pain, it was a great find for me and I just had to share! :)

So glad we now have articles stored in a easy to find place...I can see this tape coming in useful for not only arthritis but minor hand strains we all get from time to time.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention Vicki...needs to be in my first aid box right away

Great to know Vicki.......how long do you wear it? And is it reusable?  I will be checking into this. I fractured my wrist years ago and it is now starting to cause me some discomfort........

Thanks Amy the videos on that link are Great, will be bookmarking that! ! I too have been getting alot of info off the web, all good!

I also bought a book 'Kinesiology Taping The Essential Step-by Step Guide' by John Langendoen & Karin Sertel. It goes into alot of info on how to do the taping, etc and has been very helpful to me. Link: https://www.amazon.com/Kinesiology-Taping-Essential-Step---Step/dp/077880481X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471280438&sr=8-1&keywords=Kinesiology+Taping+The+Essential+Step-by+Step+Guide

Jeannie I've worn most of mine for about 4-5 days, you can shower with it no problem. But once you take it off it can't be reused, even if you tape it wrong and have to redo it...trust me on this one, i certainly have done that and it won't restick! This stuff is Great, i hope you find it helps your wrist as much as it's helped me.

How is it used?

I know i won't be able to say the technical parts of this right but basically, as I understand it, they apply the tape over the muscle, nerve, tendon, etc that is causing the pain. Based upon the problem they determine the amount of 'stretch' to put in the tape and where the anchor points should be. The good news is that either a book or the web, whatever source you are using, will tell you this information.

Here's a description of it that explains it much better than i did- https://kinesiotaping.com/about/what-is-the-kinesio-taping-method/

And here's what i think is a good example. I have tarsal tunnel in one foot and it's acting up again. So i googled it and found exactly how to tape my foot and it works great! Here's what I found and it shows a diagram of the foot, tendon, etc and where and how to apply the tape.

I think I need to get me some of this.

I have a recurring calf muscle issue - caused by running for a bus when my muscles were not warmed up - that haunts me even 15 years later.  Pulled muscle really doesn't describe it adequately!  I think I actually ripped it.  lol.

This tape would be fantastic, the next time it twangs. THANK YOU!!!
