FRIDAY 19th August: New Beach!!!
Mum:
Pics are now working for me. let me know if they aren't working for you. Mind you, haven't a clue how to sort it if there is still a problem!
Cato:
Exciting! we found a new part of the world! And a new beach! It was marvellously sniffy!
We started off with a nice sausage breakfast, with Dad.And then walked along the seafront bit, where we aren't allowed down on the beach. We walked past the nice biscuit place, where we get biscuits and Mum and Dad have boring drinks. And then we went on and on and on until my legs were a bit tired. It was great, and me and Mum are planning on coming back a lot!
We started here:
and went on here. See all the lovely sniffy lampposts and barrier posts. Sniffy heaven! Also the tractor man who is brushing the beach. No idea why.
Tara thought if she sat on the bench she would get more sausage, but I knew she wouldn't.
We got to the end of the Promenade thing, and went even further, and it was soooooo exciting, cos a whole new world opened up, what we didn't know existed!!! Look, a new beach, with steps, and a slipway down, and a long seafront walk all the way along between the beach and the railway. And no signs about 'No Dogs' !!! Yippee!!!
So we were allowed off leash, and went along the walkway, high high high above the beach. Tara was obsessed with looking over the edge, but even she seemed to realise that we didn't want to fall off, and she didn't bounce on me, and she never went too close to the edge. I stayed back better, and I stayed closer to Mum, cos I am a Sensible Little Man. Mum says so.
This is when we looked inland.
See the beach, and the walkway, and the grassy bit, then the railway track, and the houses? Mum and Dad took us down onto the grass, which was good and interesting and sniffy. It was FUN cos we had never been here before.
This is a crossing for the railway. Dad says he drives through here all the time, and this crossing is notorious for brain dead members of the public walking out across it without looking to see a train coming. He has had some near misses! There was one man who has 2 little human people and a dog with him, and walked across, saw the train, went back for the dog and left the two little kids on one side and him and the dog on the other. Dad says he thought the kids were going to run across to their Dad!!!
Lots of sniffs! Lots of people and dogs and stuff. It was ACE!!!
Tara:
This is Cato having a drink.
He took ages and I got bored. So I decided to have an explore.
I wanted Mum and Dad to follow me, but they said we had to turn back. Bet it is really sniffy over the bridge. Maybe next time!
This is on the way home. We are up high high high, aren't we? I LOVE it!
Mum says the tall thing is a water tower, and all our drinking water lives inside it. It is very big. I want to climb right up to the top!!!
Mum:
A rose growing wild.
and a very vibrant pink thing
I love the way flowers thrive even on neglected waste ground, don't you?
