Holiday: Saturday (coming home)

Tara:  This woz our last morning.  At dawn.  Mum got up specially early and saw the sky and had to take a pic.  I stayed on the bed and didn't see it, cos I woz on my back sleeping.

And Mum says you want to see this.  These are ferns growing out of the wall in our back yard widdle area.  She sas you can see how old the wall is and how clever the ferns are.  Like ferns could ever be clever! ha!

And then Mum and Dad did all the boring packing, and I checked that Dad hadn't forgotten any of my Toys.  And Cato was all quiet and worried, cos he gets all weird when we get packed for adventures.  I like it.  Cos I LOVE ADVENTURES.  But Cato worries he is going to be left behind.

Then we packed the car, and went on MY beach for a final walk.

It was ACE.  The waves were bigger, and the clouds were huger, and the wind was blowier, and Mum said 'Looks like we had the last of the good weather!'.

Do you think we will get some proper mud now?

And then we came home and Cato stinked up the car all the way!

 

Cato:

Oh Aunties, it was awful!  We were in the car, and it was all OK, and I was sleeping, and then all of a sudden my tummy went all gurgly horrible, and I had a huge accident!  On my bed!  And is WAS all stinky.  And Mum and Dad had to open the windows.  And we were stuck on the motorway and couldn't stop till we came to a Food Services place.  And I had another poo bottom before then, and I hated it Aunties, and my tummy hurt.  And Tara was no help at all!

And when we stopped, Mum had to change our beds, and put a rug over, and clean me up, and I felt dreadful.  And my tummy ached and ached.

Mum says she wonders if it was the prawn.  I didn't really like it.  Tara liked hers.  and she didn't have a gurgly tummy.  But I don't ever want another prawn.  Ever.  And I didn't want any tea.

But it was ever so nice to come home and sleep at home, and have the catflap for when my bottom wanted to poo urgently.

And Mum slept on the living room floor with us, so that I could catflap all night.  but I didn't need to, cos I was feeling a bit better by then, and just needed to sleep all night snuggled up with my Mum.

Awww Cato - You're just not a world traveler.  I'll bet that bad ole shrimp was "off".

There's no place like home - take your time, rest and let Mum spoil you.

LOVE the ferns......some of my favorite plants. They seem delicate, fragile and hard to grow   and yet there they are - growing out of a wall.  Primevil!

We had a stinky long trip home once.......Sophie had the drizzlies and backed up in the SUV as far as she could go......she squirted in one of the packed crates and in the corner of the carpet. Puuueeey :crazyeyes:

Oh poor Cato I felt so sorry for you with your bad tummy and just wanted to give you a great big cuddle to get well soon...minus the stinky bottom of course  ;) 

The picture of Tara with her sandy face...Priceless! Now that's a holiday picture to treasure ?

The fern wall is fascinating as well as lovely...just love how they took root anywhere they please ...bet we couldn't replicate that even if we tried real hard.

Glad to have you all home safe and sound ....looks like you picked the best week of all to holiday as it's been all down hill since ...?

Thank you Aunties.  I am feeling much better today.  though it is a pity that Mum has stopped hand feeding me pieces of chicken.  I liked that.

But I don't have a dirty bottom any more, and I am barking at people at the front door, so Mum says I can feed myself again. :glare:

That is BEAUTIFUL!  Every time I looked at that photo, I thought 'pity that street lamp is there, mucking it up, but no way was I going out on the street in my nightclothes to walk somewhere where it wasn't in the way.'

Oh what gorgeous pictures, love that first pic and Crystal you did a Great job on that! :clap:The ferns were great had never seen them growing like that! But the pic that took the prize was Tara's sand face, Love it!! Oh poor Cato I too just wanted to hug you sweetie, stinky bottom and all.:throb: I am so glad you are feeling better sweetie, holidays are fun but they do get the best of our tummys don't they?

Now listen up....it's always about Miss Smarty pants but I got a secret I been holding back on...Now don't get me wrong I love my sister but sometimes she just gets on my bone ...ya know 

Dad said I wasn't to tell but I'm a busting to let this secret out and show you what Me and MY Dad got up to when lazy Tara and mum were somewhere else....

See I got your interest now don't I Tara....WELL let me tell you Dad and I sneaked back to that picnic area...you know the one with the lake and we had a big shing digg but for us BOYS! No girls allowed. UMPPP You ticked off yet....well will be.

Just look here and growl and moan with envy cause You were not invited cause your always crawling all over benches and tables.

Dad borrowed a REAL Train BBQ machine..it cooks and everything. Dad loves trains and this one just tickled him to death, so he brought it to our spot and set it up.

Dad cooked barotosaurus ribs, huge tyrannosaur steak, whooper hamburgers and oddles sausage and dad had bottles of cider but he said I wasn't old enough to drink yet...but that's alright....There was Mountains and Mountains of meat.......( you drooling yet slobber breath?) Just look at all our bones under the table....they were yummy too! And I told dad, no don't take HER  a doggy bag :P

Sorry I haven't been able to catch up with all your adventures... 

What an amazing time you all had. It did look like you had the last of the good weather. 

Cato, Shame about the stinky bottom though. Glad you are feeling better... 

it looks like a beautiful part of the country you visited and I'm very tempted to go there with my paws... I'll have to do some researching.. 

Tara, love the sandy face.. not quite mud, but the next best thing ?
