WEDNESDAY 26th October: Bear Woods and MUD
Cato:
So today Mum took us to Bear Woods. It was GREAT.
This is First Sniff:
and this is a nice Spaniel who wasn't listening to his Mum at all. She was shouting and shouting, and he was sniffing and sniffing.
Today we went the other way round from normal, so all the sniffs came in the reverse order. It was fun!
Just along here we met a lady from Mum's work, with her friend and two children. We were excellent Shih Tzu ambassadors, Mum says. The boy doesn't like dogs, but he liked me, and he gave us both treats, and he asked if he could pick us up. Mum said she thought we would prefer to have our paws on the ground, so he crouched down and got on our level instead. He was nice. So was the girl, but she is used to Staffies, so she knew she liked us from the start.
No donkeys here, either...
This is Tara doing her Balleticals.
I am looking back at Mum and rolling my eyes
And look here. She found some mud. And she HAD to walk through it. Three times! I walked around.
And again. She is really weird, isn't she?
I got stuck
And I was REALLY stuck. And I asked Mum to come and help.
But to everyone's surprise, Tara came to help.
But then she got bored and wandered off
And I was very worried, and I didn't know what to do.
But it was OK, cos Mum came and helped me. She lifted me up onto the log, and then encouraged me to jump down onto the Mum-side. I didn't want to do it, cos I don't like heights, and I don't like jumping down onto new surfaces, but I knew I had to be brave, and Mum was there, so I did. And then we carried on our walk. Mum says I am a hero. And she gave me a big treat after my jump.
We found some more mud. Which I walked around, and Tara walked across.
Mum says I have to show you this pic, cos Tara looks so cute. I would like to point out that her hair is because she attacked me, not cos I attacked her.
This is at the end, when we were both tired
But I wasn't too tired to go Fu Dogging at Tara when she tried to bounce once too often! Ha! I told her good!
