Grandad's Garden
Cato:
OK so you Aunties are all plant mad and weird, so Mum and me have decided to tell you about Grandad's garden first, on account of it being boring and I want it out of the way so we can talk about the interesting sniffy stuff later.
So Mum took lots of photos and these are the best ones, when it was sunny and stuff. There was a big storm one night, so the light was a bit grey sometimes.
This is the view from my Hunting Spot.
I sat inside, in the warm, looking out of the patio doors.
There were pigeons and doves and sparrows and thrushes and blackbirds and robins and bluetits and crows and jackdaws and all the birds in the world. Tara barked at them sometimes, but I just plotted my Hunting tacticals and kept an eye out for the fox.
We never actually saw the fox. But he is very sniffy, and he came and trespassed on my garden every night! I widdled on everything, every day, but he still came back. Isn't that rude!
Tara was Tara, so she only really wanted to explore the garden with Mum or Grandad. But I wanted to explore it all the time. Hunting Trips. So I know my way around much better than Tara. I can run rings round her. I can see her guarding the steps to the house, and run off around the side and up the slope and run in past her from the side. Haha! She was a bit miffed. But it is only because of my Patrols. If she bothered to patrol she would know the Game Paths and the Hunting Trails too, wouldn't she? I helped Grandad do gardening stuff too. And visited the Compost Heap (sniffy!) and found where the rabbits get in. I love Grandad's garden.
These are the boring flower pics Mum took:
Big fat Camellia buds
snowdrops and a cloche. Grandad is big on cloches.
irises
sprouty green on red stuff
little blue things
more snow drops
Granddad's dragon
Tiddly little daffodils
black grass and snow drops and the yellow snake (hosepipe)
grape hyacinth
cyclamen
me sniffifying near the clematis
