OMG!! The screen on my computer is splattered with tears. As I was reading this I could picture 5 of my paws having the same thoughts. All of my guys will get extra HUGS today.......thanks for posting this. Maybe this will touch a few hearts that when they are ready to add a pet to the family be it the first or the second they will consider a RESCUE. I can't think of any problem with using the divider. As long as it's easy for you to access both sides? If you buy separate crates I think I'd go with the small size. That three inch difference in depth shouldn't be enough to make any difference in crate/potty training, and the extra height certainly won't..
