  1. "Some kind of Terrier-mix", period. They don't need a fancy "designer dog" name to get a good home.

  3. We have slip leads for the Poodles and I've been known to use them with the Tzu occasionally. Sheila, for camping I would go with a kindness martingale lead - if the dog tries to take-off, the martingale tightens but exerts equal pressure all around the neck rather than just on the trachea (like a slip lead). Most show leads come in 4' or 6' lengths, and I personally would never use a lead longer than 6' (and NEVER those damn dangerous flexis). If your dog is more than 6' away from you, you cannot react quickly-enough if there is danger.

  5. Thanks Jeannine..... I didn't see the combination of both Martingale and Kindness in the same leash on either site you listed. One did have Kindness though, but not Martingale. Skimpy on beads too, but then I tend to put way to many on mine. I frequently call mine "show off" leashes! Vicki

  9. I ordered the slip lead..so I don't have to mess with collars. They were $8 each. From what they look like they are very similar to the leads we used at the vet clinic I used to work at. They work like a noose...and just slip over the head. Yeah I definitely don't need the uber fancy leads with beads and such, even tho they are pretty!

  10. Sara, a lot will depend on which options you chose when you ordered the leash. Did you also get the collar, or did the one you ordered have it attached? That looks similar to what I make without all the bells & whistles... Vicki

  11. Yes - they are supposed to be brothers. Some young woman brought them "home" and her boyfriend's Mom said she can't keep them. Just one of the many, many all too common reasons why puppies/dogs get dumped in a shelter or given away "free to a good home" shortly after they arrive at what is supposed to be a new home :-( But you already knew that.......grrrr
