If it works.....go for it!  When my husband is home, he always has the TV on :-(  When I'm here alone I listen to talk radio so the dogs are used to some kind of background noise.  I think they'd be fine without it...."For Pete's sake!  Can't we have some quiet time!?"  But my husband always leaves the radio on for them.

When my oldest child was fussy as a baby......sometimes I would leave the vacuum on.   I think the boring monotony of the sound plus not hearing her own crying helped calm her down and she'd go off to sweepy  bye land.

What a sweet mommie you have Missy and you deserve the very best because you simply are the sweetest ❤️

We always leave the TV on for them.  And the lights on.  lol.

I have found that Cato is very upset when we go out at unusual times.  We regularly pop out and leave them during daylight, but being boring middle aged stayathomes () we rarely go out in the evenings.  It is those times that deeply distress him.  He may have nightmares that night, and he wants to be in physical contact for hours after.

He's a little creature of routine.  Bless him.

Thanks Aunties, I Love my music box! Mommy used to leave a soft music station on and that's ok but not near as nice as My music! It's Much more calming!! I think Cato would like it a lot Auntie Jo, he sounds a lot like me. I can't stay very far away from mommy once she comes home and just kiss her for hours- she loves that part!!  Missy

What a nice Mommy you have. My Mom says if I was a human I would probably be a musician.  I love when my parents watch a movie and the music when it  is playing it gets my attention and I sit up and listen until it is done.......it is usually thru the credits but Mom and Poppy leave it on just for me. We got our own lap top and we listen to soft jazz from Pandora. Mom leaves it playing thru the house ALL DAY. Mom does not leave us a lot but when she does she makes sure we have music when she leaves. Mom even noticed that I relax quicker when I take a car ride now that she has her favorite Kenny G CD in............I really like music. I think I would either play the banjo or the saxophone........have you ever listen to the Piano Guys? They are awesome...........I remember when my Mom worked I had to stay in a box too.....I don't have to anymore though.....I sit on my bench and wait for my Mom to come home when she goes out and then I am the first one to the door to greet her........ We love our Mom's don't we!!!

Daddy likes to listen to jazz, I like some of it but not all of it! And, of course, daddy Doesn't like my music box- just figures, huh?!!  I bet I'd like the Piano Guys, I'm gonna get mom to find it, Thanks! And Great idea havin your music in the car, mommy'll do that too now!! Yup our Mommy's are Great! They'll do Anything for us!! Mommy's trying to train daddy like that, to do Whatever I like -- he doesn't catch on as quick as mom though!!   Missy
