THURSDAY10th Mar: Mystery Solved
Cato:
Dad's shift started a bit later today, so he came out for a walk and some sausage with us, then went straight off to his Work Thing. It was fun.
See how quiet the cafe is? No one to say how cute we are and stop to stroke us. But it meant that the sausages came very quickly, although we had to wait until were were outside before we got ours!
The beach was HUGE today. There was no edge to it, and the sky came all the way down to it, and the world just fell off the edge. Mum says that doesn't make sense, but just look at the pictures and you will see what I mean.
There was a tree on the beach too. EVERYONE had widdled and sniffed it. It was fascinating!
We walked out under where the sea goes too, and looked at this skypuddle. Did you know that skypuddles are made from the sea?
And even deep under the sea, there was a bit of salt grass growing.
The salt grass was growing a long way under the high tide bit. See? we are miles away from dad, under water.
On the way back there were some men working under the pier making funny smells. One of them came from this tin.
Mum said 'come away!' but of course Tara wasn't listening.
Tara:
I WAS listening. I was just worrying about breakfast getting stolen again. And I did come away. After I had a sniff at it. It wasn't nice.
Anyway, Mum loves me. She gave us breakfast just like yesterday, near her desk, so she can watch us while she works. And I couldn't eat it again. And Cato tried to eat it again. And it was awful. But then Mum worked out what was wrong.
Breakfast was in the metal shiny bowl, on the laminate floor, and my collar tags rattle against the bowl, and the bowl slides across the floor, and I hate it. So I sit and watch, and WANT to eat, but I CAN'T. Cos it is all rattley and slidey and scrapey.
So Mum stopped Cato from eating my breakfast, and went and put it on a china plate which doesn't slide or rattle, and I ate it ALL up and Cato had to watch. Haha! And Mum said 'Good Girl' and stroked me, and I licked her, and then she washed her hands cos my lick was all breakfasty. I love Mum.
Sidney:
I am having a day off patrol. My paw hurts. Mum says I am experiencing A SetBack Caused By OverUse. They have decided to reduce the time my window is open. I don't mind. I wanted a lazy day anyway.
