FRIDAY 11th Mar: Sniffy soggy Spring
Cato:
We had to go early for our walk today, so Dad could come with us before he had to go to work. And we all got in the car and set off. But then we sat for ages in a car queue which was very boring. In the end Mum said 'Right! Change of plan! we won't go to the Lake Park today.' and she turned the car around.
So that meant it was a surprise Foxy walk today.
Mum and Dad said the grass was too soggy for huge human feet, but it was OK for proper Shih Tzu feet. Although we may have paddled in the soggy puddles, and got a bit muddy. There were daffodil puddles, and some of them had come into bloom!
and we saw mushrooms
and the first daisy!
Tara tried to trample them both, and also tried to lick Mum's phone when she bent down to take the photos. Tara is always getting in the way and slobbering over things.
This is me, at the end, after we had a drink. I just wanted you to see my tail again. Because it is a very, very nice tail.
Tara:
We had an ace walk! Although Mum said we had to do Ping Pong til I dropped, because I whined all the way to the park in the car, and she said I needed to blow off some steam.
This was the first steam blowing - in a fight!
See how clean and white my footsies are? And how pink and yeasty Cato is? Ewwwww!
This is the second steam off:
This is the longest Ping Pong running we have ever done! We did it over and over again until Cato gave up - the wimp - and went and sat next to Mum. But I kept going til I could only just trot! It was tiring. LOTS of treats! yum!
Then we sat at Foxy's bench, and I had a lie down. And a pant. It was the warmest day since last summer!
And then I got up on the bench to show you my muddy knickers. Mum said you would appreciate them. Especially after seeing how white they were before!
Then I got up onto the table, for an explore, and had a little lie down again. I was REALLY puffed.
Mum says 'Now we know how to wear her out, we can do this every time!' But she also said that I am 'the most beautiful little girl that has ever existed in the history of the world!' Dad just says 'Humph!'
Sidney:
I overheard them talk about only letting me out for a couple of hours this morning, but I intend to give them the slip. It is warm, and dry, and the sun is shining. I can rest my paw somewhere nice and sheltered in a garden, can't I? Just as restful as staying in. Expect me when you see me...
