Cato: Horrid stinky mean and scary bath at Aunty Lesley's. Nice liver treats. Farts incoming. Now it is over, I don't mind so much.
And Auntie Lesley has said I am not fat any more! Yippee! Tara isnt fat either, though she was much fatter than me.
But Mum keeps glaring at Dad and saying 'Good. Now let us KEEP him that way!' And Dad keeps looking like a guilty person. So I guess there may be less treats. Dad is very nice at sneaking us stuff when he has his dinner killing zombies or exploring alien worlds. We just sit and stare at him for long enough and we get some deliciousness. But only if Mum is out of sight.
We got busted though, cos Tara has started whining for treats and she is too silly to realise that Mum will find out if she hears. Duh!
If Mum and Dad eat together we NEVER get any treats, no matter how cute we look.
This is my new clip. Mum says she needs to do some remedial work around my tail and hip. Wotever that is. But she loves the rest of it. And she isn't going to do more cutting today, cos I have probably had enough for one day. And I have. I think I have even had enough liver treats...
We are celebrating my new slimness with a new collar and lead, in a nice brown. Mum says it will suit the mud. And my eyes.
Tara: Ooooohhhhhh the BEST BEST BEST news! Mum has agreed! I have been working on her for EVER and EVER and EVER and finally she has crumbled. Mum is going to let me go PINK!
It all started with nasty Nell last weekend. Nell had a little pink collar and pink band in her topnot, and Mum said that despite all her anti-dress-up principles she had to admit that Nell looked cute. And Dad said 'Yes, but she doesn't look as cute as Tara would in the same get up'. He regrets it now. And Mum wishes he hadn't said it either, but he DID! And its TRUE. And I have been working on them EVERY DAY since. And now I am soooooo HAPPY. I am going to get a PINK collar and lead, and my hair is going to grow on the top of my head, and I am going to get a little tuft with a pink elastic band in it.
Mum and Arntee Lesley were discussing it, and it will take 16 weeks for a full proper tuft, but my collar and lead and bands will come before that, so I can wear them early, can't I Aunties? I don't have to wait years and years before I go PINK, do I?
Mum says that we will have a PINK summer and then re-assess, cos Mum isn't PINK. She also said that resisting my PINKNESS has been like resisting the tide, and she is worn out by it all, and has given in. But that doesn't matter. I AM pink. Or I will be. I have to promise to never EVER go near any mud, ever again. And I won't. Ever. Promise.
Oh, and apparently I am not allowed to lick Cato ever either, cos his stinky ear is staining my beard. And red stain clashes with pink, doesn't it?
Am sooooooo excited. I have been wanting PINKNESS for EVER, up til now Mum has always said red or purple instead 
but PINK will suit me better, won't it?

Cato laughed at me, then Dad laughed at me, and I saw Mum smirking, but I don't mind. We PINK girls have to suffer for our beauty, don't we Missy? Do you think I can have a PINK coat next winter? Mum thinks it would be OTT but you can't have too much PINK can you? It is impossible.
Mum: It is moments like this when I miss Sidney so very very much. Can you imagine what he would be saying now?
