TUESDAY 19th Apr: Ghostly Exorcism... or not... ?

Dear Miss Missy,

Could me and Tara please beg your kind assistance in checking out for the ghost and babee ghost?

Mum finished work an hour early today and burst into a frenzy of nasty stinky cleaning and stuff.  She used the stuff that smells of orange, and the sucky vacuum, and the vinegary window cleaning stuff, and it was awful.  She kept moving us, and things, and wiping and fussing and making more of a mess.  And every time we started to help (clearing out the paper she dropped, and taking rubbish out into the garden to kill) she got all huffy and stole it back.

Anyway, hopefully it is over now, cos she has been sitting still now for about 5 mins, which is a relief.

Could you have a look and see if the ghosty monsters have gone?

This is inside before:

We have had a good look, and think that maybe they have gone, but maybe not, and it all smells so clean we don't want to get too close!  Mum keeps saying stuff like

'Ha!  that is a good start, but did you spot that dust in the other corners...?'

which is making me rather nervous.

Uh oh.  She is starting to look at the end of the kitchen now, where there are more plants.  Cos the plants that were on the windowsill are now homeless, so she is going to do something else now.

Mum:  the trouble is, everything grows, doesn't it?  Both the spider plant and the peace lily started off about 6 inches high on my desk in the office, back when I worked in an office, but if you water and feed them, they just kind of... grow.  And grow.  And then you can't bear to dispose of them.

Looks great! I wish I could get my plants to grow so well.  I've killed so many poor defenseless plants.  Not intentionally, of course, but through my overeager attempts to get them to thrive.  :yeahrite:

I can't wait to hear Missy's take on if the ghosties are still present or, if  they have vacated.

Look at all those babies on the spider plant.

One year my Gran said to me, what would I like for my birthday. I said would she be able to buy me an African violet plant..

And she she did ? My second plant was a spider plant ?

WOW what a difference!! It looks Very nice but what's that double loopy thing over the black monster?!! Maybe that's the loop you're gonna catch him in?!! :hysterical:

Cato & Tara do you go down there now? Me thinks the ghost and baby may have left! And the monster does look nice enough, besides you have a noose to catch him in if not! :ohyeah: Can't wait to hear if it's safe now, mom did a Ton of work, super job mom! :throb:Missy

:roflmao:  the noose is my archway.

Just plain metal.  I wonder if my camera can take a photo of the fairy lights, at night... hold on.

With flash:

and without - while Tara ran over my foot in the dark, hence the shaky double image. :roflmao:

I spent 3 years trying to train green stuff up it (2 diff clematis and a morning glory) but they all refused to do it.  They didn't want to grow into the shadow of the side alley. :(

Actually these photos look horrible.  In real life, there is a kind of softening charm on the brickwork.  looks much nicer.  And when all my ferns and the hosta have sprouted, and I have begonias on the water butt, it feels good down there.  Cool and not monstery. :)

Busy lady today cleaning and all........just love your fairy lights........I bet it looks really cool at night......be sure to post pictures when your ferns and hosta have sprouted........any house plant that I have tried to grow inside just hits the trash can a couple months afterwards so gave up.......yours look great..........from the looks of things I think your monsters may have left.......or they have turned into nice monsters now that Mom has rearranged things to their liking.........time will tell.

Haha!  @Amy0515 and @Sophie's Haven the secret to house plants is using self watering pots.  You pot them up with earth in the top of the planter, fill the bottom half with water and dissolved fertiser, and the roots grow down and suck up water when they need it.  When the water level drops, you splash in a bit more water.  So easy.  I go round once every week or two and top up the water if necessary.  Can leave them during the holidays without worry.
