FRIDAY 29th Apr: Ping Pong Pack
Cato: We had the bestest walk all week! Mum wasn't stuck sitting at her computer today, so we went out for a Pack Walk.
Pack Walks are the best, cos everyone is together, and safer, and we can all make sure we are all alright. Tara is too silly to understand this. Anyway, Dad wanted to go to the little square park again, cos last time we went we saw Meg and played with her, and he wanted to see her again. Meg is a 14 week Jack Russell puppy and I liked her a lot. Dad says she is my girlfriend. But she isn't. Cos that is just slushy.
So we went down the hill and across the traffic lights, and I was pulling cos I know the way, and Tara was pulling cos Dad lets her pull and she is naughty.
Meg wasn't there.
Here we are:
Closeup of first glorious sniff
This is the pavillion. It is all closed up and dirty and stuff, but it was FUN today. Mum says we should call it the Ping Pong Pavillion from now on, cos it was so great.
First of all we Ping Ponged round corners:
The Mum and Dad started getting more cunning and moving about.
Tara:
This is me coming
and this is me going
and then Mum sneakily sneaked off and hit on the other side! And we didn't notice, even when Dad went over the other side too:
And Cato stopped playing, cos he is boring and a wimp. So I don't see why he got treats too. He just has to do his Meerkat and he gets EXTRA treats! Not fair!
But then we DID see Mum
And this is me going back and forth again.
This is me practicing my Athleticals. I got up here all by myself. Aren't I clever!?!
And this is me trying to jump down, but it looks ever so high... Dad was going to help, but Mum said 'No! let her learn consequences.'
Mum: It is an interesting park. Complete with Texan oil wells, and a climbing wall.
I pointed out to Tara that if she really wanted to be an Internet/Media/GrumpyCat/Blog Athletic sensation, then mere walls might not cut it, and she should start aiming a bit higher. At the high grey climbing wall. Or these poles.
or this slide/climbing combo
She ignored me, and went and beat up Cato.
Although this spinning wheel caught her attention. But was that the wheel? Or her Dad sitting on it?
Have to say, if I had grown up near this park, this tree would have been the centre of attention.
