MONDAY 5th May: May Day
Cato:
We had a lie in this morning. All four of us on the Big Bed. I had a Nighttime Bowel Event in the middle of the night, and had to wake up Mum with a bark, but she carried me downstairs and then went to sleep in her office chair until I had finished. She says that we need to look at this, cos this is the 3rd time in a week I have had a Nighttime Bowel Event, and she doesn't want it becoming a habit.
I am just sorry that she doesn't want to have a game, cos I always come in from the garden really bouncy, and it is boring to go straight back to bed.
So we had a lie in, after waking Dad up with ear licks. He loves my ear licks more than he likes Tara's cos Tara is always so over-enthusiastic she tries to stand on his face and neck.
Not much of a walk today.
Mum said that we didn't have much time, and would have to make do with a trip to get coffee. In Costa. Well, sitting outside Costa.
This is us waiting for Dad to come back with the boring coffee stuff.
The Green place is where Mum goes to get the money stuff so that we can eat her out of house and home.
There was a small human at the coffee place that looked interesting. She was only as tall as a chair, and was dressed in pink. So she would have got on with Tara. But her family treated us like we were dangerous attack-beasts and rushed off without saying hello.
The wind was nice and warm today, so even though it was a bit grey, it was WARM and grey.
Tara:
After the boring coffee (although we did get jerky chews, so that was fun) and not being allowed to play with my PINK Sister, and not being able to bounce on Cato under the table. And not being allowed up onto Dad's lap. And not being allowed to explore. We went down the High Street so Dad could get some food for his W*rk this evening. We got to stand outside the food place when he went in. We kept a good watch, in case anything interesting happened. And Cato got a bit stressed as usual, cos the pack had split up. But Mum said wot a Good Girl I was for not whining.
This is me, not whining:
I tried to sit in the middle of the path, so that I could get the most attention, but Mum was mean and pulled me back.
And this is me when I saw Dad coming back. You can tell I love Dad more than Cato does, cos Cato was staring off across the road at something boring.
Mum:
Not many pics today! forgot to take any during the walk to and from Costa. Mind you, it would mainly have been Cato sniffing lamp posts and Tara trying to trip Her Dad up, so you haven't missed much. lol.
Do you think Cato is over weight?
They have both been on a diet, and gently lost a bit of weight over the last 8-10 weeks. Tara is looking fab. Very lean and mean and muscly. Fit as a fiddle. Perfect waistline, I think. But Cato... still think he could have a slightly more defined waist, and these shots are quite good angles to show you...
What do you think? I am really open to you all saying 'No! he is perfect!' and then I don't have to give him little portions any more - but my main priority is his long term health, so will do it if needed. He definitely has a thicker layer of fat than Tara, but I can feel the knobs of his spine, and he does have a waist - just not as defined a waist as he had before he got the ball-chop.
