SATURDAY 14th May: Birthday walk no2
Cato:
Cos it is still so cold and windy, Mum and Dad decided to save the salt marshes for another day.
But we went to the Town Park instead!
Lots of pics today. A duck hunt. We met Daisy. And saw rabbits. So it was a GOOD walk!!! Mum took lots and lots of photos, and then got rid of most of them. These are best special ones, but there aren't many distance views. I like distance views, but Mum says we will have to do them another day.
Mum says that the same man who planted the wallflowers and the tulips in Foxy Park came here too:
Did you see Daisy? she was top right of the photo. She was nice. We played for a bit. Even Tara wanted to meet her, but she wasn't as pretty as Tara. I didn't want to admit that, cos Tara doesn't need to know she is pretty. Her head is too big already. But it is true.
This is an exploded yellow tulip
Mum doesn't know how to edit the photo so it doesn't make your eyes water.
These are better tulips. Less blinding
These are Acers, says Mum.
but we were more interested in the rabbitses
Wish we could have got in to see them!
Tara:
It was a good walk, even though Cato is getting boring about his birthday. I want a birthday now, and chicken and a pink cake and Mum says I have to wait till the weather gets really cold. Not fair!!!
This is Dad and some stinky pink tree.
and the bowling green wot I am not allowed to play on.
A flowerbed with PINK in it. And me. And Cato getting in the way.
A VERY interesting path that is too small for big Mums and Dads but perfect for me, only I wasn't allowed to explore
Me having a drink.
Me Duck Hunting! So nearly got them! But they ran away into the water, the CHEATS!!!
Mum says that blue stuff is the first ceanothus she has seen this year. YAWN.
But then we went to see Pops and Mam, and got chewy sticks, and I snuggled with Mum on the sofa, and she cleaned my eye which woz gunky. And Mam said that I have grown up. Which is silly, cos I have been bigger than Cato for EVER even if he gets birthdays and I DON'T!!!
Mum:
As you can tell, Tara is a wee bit green eyed at the moment.
Just a few more pics - this white blossom is pale compared with the cherry blossom, but the tree is magnificent, and exquisite, and HUGE. No idea what it is!
Two trees that are determined on living again! Good for them!!!
and the chestnut trees are growing to form a proper Cathedral
