Abby Feeling Poorly Today?

PipsMom

Taking a break today as Abby got up several times during the night sick. Intestinal cramping, repeat throwing up and watery dirrehea. She wasn't feeling well at all by breakfast and didn't eat....so took her outside in the sunshine and used a rinseless shampoo to sponge bath her to remove the mess head to tail which I think she actually enjoyed the pampering and cuddles.

Her facial reaction was like she thought I would be mad at her throwing up everytime I cleaned it up...but I praised her instead as she would go be sick on the puppy pad I leave for night time emergencies in the bathroom....somehow she knew don't be sick in bed.....Such a good girl she is.

She's laying around quitely by lunch time and the cramps have eased as she's not groaning anymore. So hopefull the worst is over. Pip is being quite worried as she's not playing or acting herself.

Hoping she will drink water sometimes today but refusing anything by mouth as yet. Hate it when our babies are so poorly.

Poor Abby!

Hope she continues to improve.  Any idea what may have caused it?

And what a good girl, being sick on the puppy pad.  Wish Cato could learn that trick. :)

I don't know what caused it but everything to ground level goes in mouth just like a baby......even half the instructions to the shower tray..left absent minded by the hubby on the floor.......

It could have been inside since we are still decorating or outside while going to potty with all the plants...hope she's learned her lesson. She just drank her first water at 2:30..,, watching her to see if it comes back up.

Shes laying around and resting a lot....but she made me laugh awhile ago....She has developed a hatred of cats just like Pip has....one meowed over the back fence and she shot outside like a bullet.....You'll be ok Abby if you can still move like that!

Abby still not feeling very well...sleeps a lot. I did get her to accept a little custard with a 1/2 tsp. of Slippery Elm Bark mixed in. She still cramps from time to time and rushes out to strain but only thing that passes is minute amounts of mucous poo. Hope she's better tomarrow.

We need a poo report......Moms are always worried about poo.  What kind, what color, how often.  Did she poo?

Abby Lane I am so sorry you were feeling bad. Good news that your back to yourself this morning. It is not a good day when one's tummy is upset. Sounds like a song......It's all about the POO.........but the condition of the poo does tell a lot........:(

She got it again as the day went on I'm afraid so she's back to fasting, she was so hungry I think it wasn't wise to feed her scrambled egg so soon....more Slippery Elm and start over

But she didn't vomit up the egg?  If she had a blockage it would probably come back up.

No more vomiting since yesterday early morning.

It's been watery dirrehea and mucous along with cramps....kinda like our tummy flu feels.......Her dirrehea isn't constant only sporadic a 1/4 tsp or less here and there..today's bigger accident when cause short was probably her breakfast...it was about 8pm when it happened since it was 12 hours later.......none since then and she's resting comfortable again now...hope she's ok during the night...that's the worst to happen.......that putrid smell that slaps you beside the nose when your dead asleep and you bounce to the floor pronto.

She's sweetest thing when she's soiled her long hip hair and tail....she looks at you sheepishly with those big brown eyes like she expects a tell thing off....But I don't...I praise her for being a good girl while I clean her up...

Best news is tomarrow if the heavens and stars align correctly..We can have showers and I can wash her if he finishes early enough.

See mom I am a big girl now..I get my very own shower :roflmao:

Abby Lane are we feeling any better today.......sure hope so. We don't like it when your not feeling yourself.  Lucy's tummy is getting to the point that if she tries any new food it does not agree with her......this past 2 weeks I have learned no fish, no pigs ears and even Sophie's B-day dinner did not set well with her.......you just never know what sets them off sometimes.

Love your new shower......Mum and Dad did a great job.
