SATURDAY 6th June: Swans, geese and AuntieSue
Cato:
Today was a double adventure! We met swans AND saw AuntieSue again. AuntieSue is really snuggly, and is MUCH kinder than Mum. Mum wouldn't pick me up when I got tired, but I bet I could have got AuntieSue to do it. If Mum hadn't been there. But at least it was nice and cool again.
We had the swan adventure first, before AuntieSue arrived. First we had an interesting sniff down by the water.
Then Tara spotted a new green bit that we have never explored before.
And it was very exciting. There were these HUGE white swan things, just by the edge of the water. So I went over to say hello. I wasn't hunting, you understand. I was just exploring and saying hello. But they didn't want to meet me. And they hissed. And they are VERY big. Almost as big as Donkeys. Mum did tell me 'NO!!!' and she made the 'Ack! Ack!' noise. So I was very cautious.
Anyway, I didn't go tooooo close.
But then Tara had to go over and see them. Of course. And she pretended to be wanting a drink, but really she just wanted to be braver than me, but then she wasn't, cos the closer she got, the bigger they looked, and so she just admired the reflection of her sprout in the mud puddle, and then came away.
There were geese too! But they were a bit noisy and flappy.
It is a good job they were all on the water, isn't it? Otherwise it would have been a different story!!! We would have got them then, wouldn't we? And this pic is NOT us huddled together for safety, like Mum says. We are just trying to decide which to hunt first! Aren't we Tara?
This is a 5 month old spanielly thing, He wanted to play, but his dad kept him on a really short lead. He was a bit bouncy, but we wouldn't have minded. Don't think he gets to play very much.
And I was thirsty.
Look at all these people in our park!
It was lovely seeing AuntieSue again. We found her while walking, and recognised her and everything, and snuggled with her on the bench when the humans had their cups of tea, and we looked after her while Mum went inside the TeaCafe to get the drinks. It is nice when we meet people like that.
Tara:
Here I am looking cute on a bench. Mum put my hair up in a Samurai knot today, but it was too far back, so my white bit fell out. Then later she did it better and further forward. I am getting used to my hairdressing fuss, and several people commented. But they kept calling it a bobble. And it isn't, is it Aunties? It is a sprouty palm tree now.
There was a pack of yorkie terriers and a shih tzu. 4 of them! They were quite nice, but I lay down, just in case!
and then I beat Cato up. Mum was being boring and photopiccing roses again, so I did interesting stuff and tried to twist his head off.
There wasn't much mud, but we made the most of it when we came across it!
This is Benji. He knows AuntieSue. He is a Pomchi, and very bouncy. I like him.
I think Mum is going to do the flower stuff later, so it doesn't mess up our blog with boring stuff.
