SATURDAY 27th August: Town Park pack walk
Tara:
All of us together. They are the bestest walks, aren't they? Even when Cato slows us down. I am doing my athleticals whenever I can, you know. Cos our holiday is only a few sleeps away, and I need to get ready to climb mountains and stuff (Mum: 3 weeks to holiday. can't wait!).
So this is me on one of my benches.
And this is me hunting in a flowerbed. Dad told me off. But it was VERY sniffy.
This is after my hunt. Doesn't my bow look good?
See how dark it woz? Mum kept saying it woz going to rain. And it did! just as we got back to the car.
Cato wanted a drink, but Mum made him have fresh water and a sit down, not duck water. I thought about going swimming, but Dad distracted me with treats before I could decide properly. I'm glad I didn't. It would have got my bow dirty.
This is where Cato went on strike. See how titchy he is?
and this is when he came to catch up, and I decided to beat him up. He fought back eventually!
Cato:
It was nice and cool under the trees. This is where all those crocuses were in the spring.
Haha! and this is when Tara went inside the bandstand thing, and couldn't get out. Dad had to show her the doorway, so she didn't have a tizz.
all the ducks were cheating by floating. so we couldn't reach them. They always do this.
Tara climbing another bench. She never stays on the ground, like me.
See how dark it got? This is when it started to rain.
Mum:
These are the hips from some stunning white roses I photographed earlier in the year. If I still had pet rats or hamsters, I would be picking them for the Vit C. The rats used to LOVE rosehips.
Luckily Tara didn't trample all over this bed!
Looks like this tree gets climbed regularly!
Oh, and we called in to see Pops and Nana before we went on this walk. Both dogs had a great time, but promptly forgot all about it in the excited sniffs of the walk. The were greeted with delight, given treats, and Pops called Tara a boy four times, and asked why 'he' was wearing a pink bow! Tara didn't mind. She adores him. He gives excellent ear rubs. She also managed to sneak out of the room into their hallway, and have a good investigate. Can't believe we didn't notice! Luckily no damage or puddles! Cato decided (after polishing off his treat) that clambering up onto my lap and demanding a chest rub was the best way to escape Tara's Tail Attacks. It worked, too.
