MONDAY 12th September: Imprisonment!!!
Tara:
Oh Aunties, it woz AWFUL!!!
Nice MrBoilerQuote man came round after breakfast. And Mum and Dad GRABBED us! and shut us in our crates!!! And the whole time he woz here, I whined and Cato yodelled and creaked! All we wanted woz to say hello, and play, and bounce, and show him our toys, and the garden, and climb on him, and sniff him PROPERLY, and lick him, and make sure he gave us ear rubs, and stuff. Yet Mum and Dad (even DAD!!!) imprisoned us, and ignored us, and Mum even said we had been embarrassing!!! How can that be POSSIBLE?!?!? Anyway, wot is 'embarrassing'?
Cato:
Weird sniffy man came round, but Mum shut us away, which was horrible, but then we went out for a nice walk. So that was OK.
Dad came too, and it was hot, so we only went once round the big lake, and we was panting terribly by the end.
It was nice and peaceful, and hothothot
This is George! We met him yesterday at Foxy. We liked him then, but we liked him better today. He is very friendly, and doesn't mind Tara lying down and waving her knickers at him.
Don't know this paw's name, but he was HUGE and very FAST and BOUNCY. His dad distracted him with the ball so he didn't bounce on us.
It was so hot we needed a long sit down and a pant and a big drink.
Tara is doing some silly thing with water bowls at the moment. Mum bought some new stainless steel water bowls a few days ago, and Tara has decided that she won't drink out of them. She has to have a pottery bowl or something. It is weird. Anyway, this morning Dad had picked up the second bowl, cos he thought we only needed 1. So she was very thirsty here. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. Mum says she specially picked the bowls so they don't slide or scrape, and they dont bang our tags.
This is the memory plaque on our bench. And some bird poop. Tara thinks it is scary black pigeon bird poop.
This is her, looking for scary pooping birds
This was VERY SNIFFY
We found TWO dangerous black pigeons. They were hanging out on the bridge parapet thing. Luckily Dad was there to scare them off, or we would have been too scared to cross! You can see them flying off. Ha! Our Dad is bigger and scarier than them!
This swan was hissing at me. All I did was stick my head through the bridge side bits, and it hissed! I was only looking.
This man was throwing chips into the water for his dog!
This Daisy and her mum. Not OUR Daisy. Another one. She came CHARGING up to us, and jumped right over and just carried on. Tara was a bit scared. I wasn't.
Mum:
These are unripe Hawthorn berries. The don't get much sun in this position.
On the other hand, these Hawthorn berries are in the full sun all day, and have ripened beautifully.
These are unripe rosehips - again, not much sun in this position
This was an open water channel a couple of weeks ago. Things grow really fast, don't they?
Mature, seedy bullrushes
a young un-seedy bullrush
More Hawthorn with the Vetch still flowering through it.
