Wednesday 12th October: WetWetWet

Tara:

Gosh it was wet today.  Dad says he thinks I am going to stop widdling outside when I am old and cranky like Cato.  But I won't.  It woz just that it was a bit of a shock to be carried downstairs all warm and snuggly and lovely, and then be dumped on the doorstep with Dad's toe scooting me up the tail!  Pushing me out into the cold wetness for my morning widdle!  A girl should be given time to think about these things, before being shoved out in the wet!

I may have got a bit bouncy today.  2 days no walks, and I kind of burst with bounce.  I can't help it.  And I didn't like that toy anyway, so I don't mind that Mum has thrown it away because it couldn't be mended.

Me and Dad have watched snooker and football, and we had tripe for tea, and a little bit of ham.  I like ham.  Mum says the next time she cuts ham, she is going to shut the kitchen door so I can't come and try and help her.

Cato:

Mum says she thinks my tail is going to recover.  She sprayed it with her magic pouffey stuff, and it is looking a bit better.  And she says that it looks like AuntieGroomer may have got a bit overenth - enthu - sastic on one side.

Thank you for saying you want to see it AuntieCrystal, but I think Mum and me both want to let it recover a bit, and maybe Mum can do something about the middle bit.  And the end.  with skissers.  And then we can show you.  It is very short.  And lopsided.  And scrawny.

Tara still hasn't noticed.  But then she doesn't notice much.  Except for ham.  And Dad.

Mum says it is going to be wet tomorrow too :(

Oh Tara your so lucky to have HAM........we don't have HAM.....sure bet it tasted wonderful......we all know when Mom is cutting sweet peppers cause of the smell and we line up behind her begging.......I know it is a vegetable but it taste like candy. I know how you feel about being put outside without warning especially from a warm bed.......we have no rain like you but it is in the 50's in the morning so we are shivering when we go out....and it is a shock after being in a nice warm bed.........none of us like it believe me. Cato your tail will be fine in a few days cause the hair will grow back........us boys are proud of our tails and we carry them proudly........hand in their buddy.

Your buddy

Tara:

Oh yes, Bailey.  HAM is gorgeous!!!  We only get tiny tiny tiny bits chopped up on top of our tea, so it isn't like we actually get ENOUGH.  But it is ever so lovely.  Mum cooked this one specially for me and Dad, in the sloooooooow cookery thing, with orange juice and leeks.  Dad has it with mashed potato, but I don't like that stuff.

Mum:

Just found these pics on the phone.  Had forgotten I took them, intending to illustrate this blog with them.

They are kind of self explanatory, even to the relaxed and piratical hairdo that Tara was sporting that day. :roflmao:

I too, love finding old photos.  I am very protective of my "old-fashioned pictures" lovingly (?) collected in a few (very few) scrapbooks and a cardboard box.  You can steal what jewelry I have, silver, electronics.........but don't touch my photos.  (Did you hear that daughters!?!)  I think the current habit of take and discard pictures on phones, etc is going to leave a lot of future generations wanting for pictures of ancestors to hold, study and treasure.

Can't wait for the 2016 saga of the tool shed roof!
