SATURDAY 10th December: Big lake, grey tunnel
Tara:
We went to the big lake! It was damp and sniffy and grey, but it was also FUN!!!
Haha! Cato thought we were off down the path, like last time! Haha! but Me and Mum wanted to go down the tunnel instead. Mum said we could try it, and if she sank up to her neck in the mud, we could stand on her head to stay safe till rescuers arrived. Only there wouldn't be room, would there. I would have to stand on her head, and Cato would just have to sink.
Anyway, all the mud was covered up with leaves, and Mum didn't sink. I did get a bit between my toepaws, and I splatted Cato a bit, and got mud on him! Haha!
The tunnel sniffed REALLY different. It wasn't green and cool sniffing any more. Now it is chill and wet and manky.
That is the exit. Cato said we had to show Mum the way. Like she didn't know. He was pushing in front all the time today. And being all I'm-a-scout and I'm-in-charge. Weird, huh?
Wossat!?!
This is the lake bit. All grey.
Mum said boring arty stuff that I can't remember. Yawn.
Cato trying to be cute
Me being much cuter.
Mum says she is sorry about the focus. Bad Mum.
Isn't it dark? We went in the middle of the day, and then we had lovely chewy bones from Mr Butcher when we got back. They were lllloooooovvvvveeeeellllyy.
I have hidden mine in the fireplace where no one except me will ever find it! Aren't I clever. Mum won't find it cos she says bones live on the tile kitchen floor, so she won't think to look for my bone in the front room! Haha!
Lots of sniffs!
This is Cato bustling off all pushing and scouty. He was duck hunting.
But he couldn't get them. Not that they are ducks. I knew that!
All these birds are a bit scary!
Mum says it is like being a bit part in that film with Tippi Hedron. All screechy bird attacks and stuff. But me and Cato would sort them out. Wouldn't we Aunties?
This is Oscar. He was all bouncy and wanted to play. So I hid behind Mum, and Cato went to sniff his wee. But Cato was too short-arse to sniff his bottom.
And this is Buster. He was OK, but his Dad wanted to rush him off, so we couldn't say hello properly.
