SUNDAY 11th December: Breakfast Thief!!!
Cato:
Ooooh we had a lovely walk today, Aunties. There was Auntie Jane, and sausage, and sun, and lots of friends! Look!
These are The Westies. We don't know their names, but there was little miss pink collar, and bouncy blue collar. They were very nice and friendly. Miss pink collar wanted to play, and was very waggy.
All the leaves have gone now.
and the mud has arrived.
This is where all the knickerprickles are lurking under the leaves, so Mum doesn't like us going off the path here.
Look, this is pink collar again. She was glad to see us. They were walking around the park in the opposite direction.
And this is someone new. He wanted to play, and he wanted to get off the lead, but his Mum kept a tight hold on him. She said he was a Lhasa Apso, and he did smell like a cousin, but was HUGE and had a very long sniffer. He was nice though.
This paw was even huger! Mum asked his Dad what his ancestors were, cos he had such unusual fur, and he had a Poodle Mum and a Collie Dad. He was nice. And old. And he could sniff my treats from miles away!
This is Nellie with her tongue sticking out. She sticks it out all the time. And Jack. Jack was ignoring his Dad as usual, but then he must have heard the treat bag rustle, cos he just turned round and ran off. Jack is a bit older than me, and much bigger.
Nellie and me made friends. She REALLY wanted to bounce and play. She is 18 months old, and can run much faster than Tara (who hid on the bench with AuntieJane)
I'm going to have a nice sleep now cos breakfast was two whole bowls this morning,. It was lovely! and I am very very very full.
Tara:
Cato stole my breakfast!!!
We got back from our walk, all hungry and muddy and lovely. And Mum got our breakfast (lamb. yum!) and put it down.
And I just wanted to think about it for a moment. Just a moment! so I went and sniffed to see wot Mum was doing in case there were sausages hiding somewhere, and I only turned my back for a second, and then I heard scraping licking right behind me, and I looked and there he woz. Eating my breakfast!!!
And you know wot Mum did? Guess wot? She larffed.
She said 'Well, maybe that'll teach you not to play games, young lady!'
and then she said 'So no supper for you, young man!' and then she went back to making her drink!
I am soooooo HUNGRY! I don't think I can last til supper. I CAN'T! My tummy is all empty and growly. I can't sleep!
Cato is snoring like a big fat lump.
S'not fair!
Mum:
And look here - a little miracle!
The yellow rose that I thought had been massacred out of existence back at the end of the summer, not only survived, but is in flower! In mid December!!!
