MONDAY 19th December: Freezing big lake

Tara: Mum did her computer stuff all morning, and Dad went out. Then we went for a nice walk at lunchtime. It was COLD!!! See how blue the sky is? That is cos it was so crispy cold and the wind was brrrrrrr! Mum said that we should have worn coats, but if we ran around a lot, we would stay warm. And we did.
We had to stay on the path, cos Mum said it was too muddy 
!!!!!
So we went past this man twice, cos we went round the lake twice to get enuff bouncing done.
The man woz throwing a ball for his very fast very shiny Springer Spaniel. And he woz STILL throwing the ball when we went round AGAIN. I think sniffing is MUCH better than boring whizzy balls, don't you?
Dad was walking very fast, cos it was cold. So Mum did lots of pics of us out in front while she tries to catch up. Mum walks VERY SLOW!!!
The ducks were hungry. But so woz I ! And I wanted to eat DUCK Hahaha!

We were playing Trufflehound, just like usual. You can see. And Mum woz throwing treats one way. And Dad woz throwing treats the other way. And Cato was getting half of them! Not fair! Now he is all zippy and active, he eats more too!
Anyway, suddenly, a seagull flaps down and gets MY treat. The one I was running to get!
It didn't even land! It just scooted down, snatched MY treat and flapped back off again.
It was AWFULL!!!

More of Dad walking very fast, and us sniffing interesting sniffs in the squelchy mud.
See how fast he is going. He said he should have brought gloveses and hatses. And we should have had our jumpers on!
Mum is waaaay behind, isn't she? Hahaha!

Tara didn't see it at all!
(Mum: actually, I don't think Cato really wanted to catch that bird - he seemed to slow down a bit when he got close to it. Almost as if he was just pretending to hunt it. But that can't be true, can it? Not the Great Shih Tzu Hunter himself...
