WEDNESDAY 21st December: Bye bye old car
Come on Aunties! Follow me!!
We had a walk yesterday, but it was after Mum finished work, so it was too dark for pics. Today was dark and grey too, but it was dry and not too cold, so we didn't need our jumpers.
I decided that this little pink girl was a bit wobbly, so I followed her for a while to make sure she was OK. She was.
This is Mum pointing the pic at the sun - see the watery white light through the branches? It was very wimpy, wasn't it? Tara used to say I was wimpy, but she hasn't said it recently. Haha!
I tried Aunties, really I did, but even with Air Widdling, I only got 4 out of 8
Tara: Has he finished pretending he got all the Entmoot? Cos he didn't. But I bounced on him anyway.
And then he got cross with me, and we stood still for a bit while he calmed down. Don't know wot his problem woz!!!
Oh, and this is when he found somepaws old tennis ball and started dribbling all over it. Or something. Dad definitely said that Cato was dribbling. There was a lady standing next to Mum squeaking about how cute he woz. I woz standing right next to her, and she wozn't squeaking at me! But then I didn't have a bow in, cos Dad said their wozn't time for hairdressing. I bet that woz why.
This Border Terrier woz OK. But she wanted the treats Dad had in his pocket. MY treats. I tried standing on Dad's lap to keep an eye on them, but he said something about muddy foots, and shunted me off!!! But BorderTerrier didn't get any treats. Although Cato let her have a drink.
This is me having a last sniff before we get in the car. Mum says you can see how handsome he is (and how dirty! says Mum) cos this is the last time you will see him. We are going to say goodbye to him and have New Stinky Car, where I have to share a New Stinky Black Crate with Cato. Though Mum has washed our nice soft brown bed, the one Cato humps after dinner, and we can have that inside Stinky Crate. Only I don't want to be shut in the crate with Cato and the bed if he is going to hump in there. Ewwwwww!
This is how My Dad helps us into the car. I got in first today, so I am in there waiting. Cato has his toes pointed doesn't he? Haha!
Mum:
So, this was the 21st December, last day of car, winter solstice, shortest day of the year, and this heroic yellow rose is STILL flowering, bless it. Looking a bit weather beaten, but still valiantly blooming
But look at the glory of it when I lifted it to face the camera.
Absolutely stunning, and scented like a warm June day...
