SATURDAY 31st December: Hot Choc Gaumlessness
Tara:
So today we had fun! And Mum did a silly gaumless goofy thing, like wot she says I always do, but I don't! And she did it today! Haha!
We trekked all the way to the beach along the road! Normally we go in the car, so we can get more beach, and less boring road stuff. But today Dad needed to check his shifty times at work, so we walked. Cato sniffed EVERYTHING. Here is the beach:
It woz warmer today. Less crispy and more comfy, so I didn't get to wear my pink jumper.
This is Cato's widdle spot. You can see that he is only doing it now, cos that Westie is incoming, and he wants to collapse the pier on top of us all by melting the post thing. haha!
Then we had a drink. I woz thirsty! I aren't usually, but today I woz. So this time Cato had to wait for me. He looks really grumpy about it, doesn't he?
This is one of Mum's really boring pics of human archi-arc-techy stuff.
And this is a really interesting pic of my new sniffy mountain wot I discovered. I woz going to climb it, only Mum distracted me with a treat, so I hope it is still there next time, cos it is asking to be climbed, isn't it?
This is Cato catching up. We saw lots of paws, only Mum didn't pic them, cos she was all distracted and stuff, cos she wanted her Hot Choc. We met a huge black and white boy shih tzu who sniffed almost as gorgeous as William does. And we met a Border Collie wot wanted to herd us, and his Mum said he thought we were little sheep. Cheek! And we met Bailey who is tiny, and black, and his Mum thinks he is a shih tzu but he isn't. he looks like a PomChi or something. But he is nice. And very shiny.
Then we walked up here, and Cato did a poo on the grass. haha!
And we had to sit outside the cafe today, so Dad went in and ordered, and we had to wait. But it wozn't cold, and it wozn't wet, so we didn't mind. And we had a nice treat when the nice sausage lady came out.
Mum:
This is the hot choc I was telling you about.
Here it is just after it arrived. Frothy milk, a zigzaggy spoon, and a lump of dark choc sunk in the bottom.
After stirring, when all the choc is flying about and just beginning to blend nicely
And ready to drink. With the milk all chocolate flavoured, with different layers. The top layer gives you a chocolate moustache if you aren't careful, and the bottom layer is what is left of the sunken molten chocolate, ready for that last mouthful, which is super-chocolatey.
Not that I am obsessed, or anything.
I've been having too many of these lately. Going to stick to no more than one a week from now on - which shouldn't be difficult, since I don't get many opportunities to hang around drinking chocolate on work days. Oh yes, and Tara said I had been a Silly Mum, didn't she? Well I was! So busy photographing and drinking my hot choc, I left my phone on the table!
Didn't even realise it was missing until we got home and I was lookng for the camera, and discovered they were BOTH missing. Called the cafe, and they had the phone, but not the camera.
Frantic hunt only to find it in the last place I would have expected to put it! on the sofa in the front room. didn't even know I had been into that room since we came home. And, of course, a quick dash out to collect the phone from the cafe.
By which time, I really needed a drink...
